MSP ‘Lord’ Claims For Both ‘Jobs’ At Taxpayers Expense

December 28, 2008

MSP Lord Foulkes claimed £54,527 for his ‘other job’ in the House of Lords despite his £53,000 wages for a being Lothian list MSP and the small added ‘bonus’ of £3,649 in expenses in respect of his Holyrood duties!

Attending the House of Lords, Lord Foulkes raked in £580 PER DAY of parliamentary business ( Lords do not receive a wage ) – no wonder Lord Foulkes attended the Lords 94 times between 2007 – 08 – all this paid for by the taxpayer!

Lord Foulkes claimed that all expenses claims were legitimate and that he was capable of doing both jobs well.

“This is important work. I work very hard to keep people under scrutiny. I have no worries about this at all,” Lord Foulkes said.

“I have a flat there (in London). You have things like mortgages, service charges, council tax, heating and lighting and telephone bills.”

As a peer, he is also a member of the Intelligence and Security Services Committee at Westminster he helps oversee the work of MI5 and MI6.

He also claimed expenses for,

Overnight stays in London – £21,014

Meals and incidental travel – £7,626

Office costs – £9,474

Travel allowance for journeys by car, train and aeroplane – £16,327

This is just one of a long line of pigs at the trough of taxpayers cash! Lord Foulkes gets more money for ‘travel’ than the average voter gets in their wages per year – and still he claims for stays in London when he supposedly has a house there. But then he does have those awful bills such as “mortgages, service charges, council tax, heating and lighting and telephone bills” etc. So the taxpayer is paying him to stay in his own house in London? Or does he do what other politicians have been known to do – rent out his house whilst he lives in a hotel whilst creaming in rent and expenses? These types of people are exactly the people that voters have voted in and who are not affected by the credit crunch – after all you are paying their wages! Creaming off the taxpayers has to stop but the current Government and their ‘opposition’ friends will go to any length to keep the cash rolling in. The British National Party say enough is enough to the milking of taxpayers money to fund fitted kitchens, bidets, LCD HD TV’s and white goods. Only the voters can stop this insanity by getting rid of these scroungers and voting British National Party!

Indulgence of Islam is harming society

December 26, 2008

Reported by the Telegraph,

Channel 4’s decision to invite President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to deliver its “alternative” Christmas message may have been offensive to many people, but no one can say the station is neglecting its obligation to cater for minorities. Muslim fundamentalists were thrilled by the broadcast.

Islam is the fastest-growing religion in Britain: the number of Muslims has grown from 1.6 million to two million since 2000. Moreover, every major public institution has changed its policies to accommodate the demands of Islamic “community leaders”. The Government, the Opposition, the police, schools, the Church of England, the BBC and now Channel 4 are all helping Muslims construct a parallel Islamic state.

Early next year, the think tank Civitas will publish a survey of 100 British Muslim schools. Entitled When Worlds Collide, it will argue that some of them are pushing pupils into ghettos. Young women, in particular, are forbidden to pursue career opportunities. “Every year, an incalculable number of Muslim young women are lost to the wider world,” says the report. One school website links to al-Qaeda; another directs pupils to a scholar who advocates the murder of Jews.

Until recently, these radical mullahs were blamed for turning disaffected youths into bombers. However, in August, a leaked MI5 report revealed that Islamist terrorists tend not to be obvious religious extremists. The Muslim community usually knows nothing about them.

For years, the Government has offered Muslim leaders self-governance in return for information about “dangerous” elements. However, if terrorists cannot be accurately identified, this is a waste of time. Un-elected community leaders extend control over Muslims, yet society is no safer.

Self-censorship is crucial to this growing separatism. The BBC’s director-general, Mark Thompson, says that Muslims should be treated more sensitively than Christians should.

In America, Random House cancelled publication of Sherry Jones’s novel The Jewel of Medina, about Mohammed’s six-year-old bride Ayisha. However, Martin Ryna of Gibson Square in London did agree to publish. Three men were subsequently charged with conspiring to damage his home. Islamic groups have threatened Borders bookshops with violence if they sell the novel.

Although most Muslims do not condone such attacks, many support the proposal that Islam should enjoy privileged status. After the 7/7 terrorist murders, the Home Office commissioned reports from Muslim working parties. Their recommendations included “Muslim teacher accreditation” to ensure special treatment for Muslim children; Muslim oversight of policing methods; and a new verbal etiquette in which Islamist terrorism should be referred to as “criminal” rather than religiously inspired. There were also hints that British Muslims should be allowed an unofficial veto over foreign policy.

In the event, the Government backed away from the extreme demands. Others have been quietly met. A National Association of Muslim Police was set up in 2007 and is regularly consulted by senior officers.

Government ministers rarely put the words “Islam” and “terrorism” in the same sentence. Conservative frontbenchers follow the same practice, except when addressing the Conservative Friends of Israel. “I have been told off by three members of the shadow cabinet for using the phrase ‘Islamist terrorism’ when I have appeared with them,” says Douglas Murray, director of the Centre for Social Cohesion.

The major development, however, has been the encroachment of Sharia law into public life. Last February, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, declared that British Sharia was “inevitable.” In fact, instruments for expanding it already exist. A network of Muslim Arbitration Tribunals (MATs) has been set up with Home Office support. In theory, these bodies are just a form of “alternative dispute resolution”. They are “unable to deal with criminal offences”, says the MAT website. Yet it also confirms that they can “assist” the police with domestic violence, sometimes “with a view to reconsidering criminal charges”.

MATs also deal with wills, where Sharia discriminates against females. The Government is also anxious to attract Muslim investment by regulating British Islamic banking; the only way to do that is to grant legal recognition to Sharia.

According to Murray, “what we are seeing is the state deferring to a seventh-century Arabian tradesman as a source for secular law”. He was speaking on Christmas Eve. The next day, Ahmadinejad spoke to the nation. Yesterday it was reported that Baroness Butler-Sloss, one of Britain’s most senior legal figures, wants Sharia divorces to be enshrined in law. For the first time in decades, religion is moulding public life in this country – but that religion is not Christianity.

When will the people of Britain wake up to the threat that lies within our country? When you will have to step on to the road for Muslims to walk safely by? When someone you know is stoned to death for being raped? When family pets are slaughtered for being ‘unclean’? When animals are halal butchered in the street? When homosexuals are murdered? Or when the sword is at your throat and you have to decide – be a Muslim or die?

71 Year Old Mugged By Asian Man

December 26, 2008

A 71 year old woman is recovering in hospital after she was attacked and robbed in Glasgow’s Pollockshaws area.

The pensioner was assaulted after getting off a 57 bus as she walked along Cartcraigs road.

She was left shaken after being pushed to the ground by an Asian man with short, dark hair, who the made off with her handbag.

Obviously the season of goodwill does not apply to scum like this who would rob an elderly lady at Christmas. I’m sure that looking for the perpetrator will be like looking for hay in a haystack!

Merry Christmas

From

British National Party Scotland

Thanks to all our members and activists for your support this year.

A poem for our brave soldiers

As we celebrate Christmas, and we open our gifts,
we realize what priceless gifts a soldier gives to our country—
the gifts of patriotism, service, and deep dedication to our nation.

As we feast on a variety of fine Christmas delicacies,
we acknowledge that a soldier personifies a variety of fine qualities:
courage, good character, honour, fortitude amidst hardship,
persistence in subduing evil, and bravery in the face of danger.

A soldier is a cut above the rest of us;
doing jobs, we could not or would not do.
While we are surrounded by Christmas comforts,
we remember soldiers in places we would not want to be,
bringing the gift of adaptability to any situation,
no matter how harsh or difficult.

As we “ooh” and “aah” over the Christmas lights and shiny ornaments
we recognize that a soldier gives us the most cherished gift of all,
the shining light of freedom.

At Christmas, let us wrap our hearts and minds
around our treasured soldiers.
May they understand how very much their service means to us.
Let us send the Christmas gifts of love, respect and admiration
to our steadfast, loyal, magnificent warriors
and their essential civilian support staff.

They themselves are the most precious Christmas gift of all,
our protectors—our soldiers.

‘Token’ Asian Added To All White Homecoming 2009 Event Poster

December 23, 2008

The poster for SNP’s Homecoming 2009 event seems to be too white for some, so a solitary Asian man was added in to show the diversity of modern Scotland!!

The original poster featured hundreds of smiling white kilted Scots, following a piper down a cobbled road, in a marketing tool used to lure back ex pats.

The PC brigade then obviously saw that there wasn’t an ethnic in sight and decided to ELECTRONICALLY add an Asian man in – even though there had been no complaints.

Of course this was like a red rag to a bull to the liberals, which they believe highlights the identity of the ex pats the SNP want to attract back home.

President of Edinburgh and Lothians Race Relations Council, Geoff Palmer, said that the change was “tokenism” aimed at deflecting claims the initiative was being aimed solely at affluent, white Americans.

The SNP’s Homecoming 2009 event’s advert on TV was £150,000 and the budget for the event is £5 million – all this to get thousands of people to return to their “ancestral homeland”?

What about the people still in their ancestral homeland?

Homecoming 2009 events are centred around 5 themes – Robert Burns, whisky, golf, great Scottish minds and innovations, and Scotland’s culture and heritage – which will run from January 25 until St Andrew’s Day on November 30, 2009.

5000 more migrant workers this year – and the number will rise!

December 20, 2008

It would seem that when Gordon ‘Dhimmi’ Brown said with great complacency, “British jobs for British people” he wasn’t exactly telling the whole story!

5000 more immigrants this year will be given work visas with the number increasing next year!

With unemployment at 1.86 million, it is inconceivable that ‘Gordie’ still wants to invite more migrant workers to take jobs from the indigenous people and if they don’t take our much-needed jobs, they will definitely end up taking the taxpayers money in the form of benefits.

In turn, this will place a great burden on the already straining UK government ‘purse’.

Under EUSSR regulations, “British people for British jobs” is ILLEGAL!

Does the un-elected Prime Minister not know the laws of his EU masters or does he know exactly what the laws are and was keeping the electorate ‘off his back’ by telling them exactly what they wanted to hear?

One party that will not be ‘off his back’ (nor Tories or lib Dems) will be the British National Party and this situation would not be occurring if the British National Party were leading this country, as they are the only party to deal with these issues head on and tell the truth about them – even when it hurts!

News in brief

December 19, 2008

NEW EU DEAL ON PRAWN-FISHING…

A new fishing deal for the UK has averted the closure of vital west of Scotland prawn fishing grounds.

Negotiations in Brussels on next years EU catch quotas also resulted in increased quotas for North Sea cod, mackerel and plaice.

Fisheries minister Huw Irranca-Davies said it would keep the industry afloat whilst stepping up conservation efforts.

Isn’t that nice of Brussels to tell us where, when and how we can catch fish in our own waters.

I’m sure if Brussels hadn’t poked their nose into the fishing industry in the UK, it would be doing fine on it’s own but as they have interfered and let other countries in the EU fish in our waters dead fish are being thrown back into the sea for fear that EU fines will be imposed on fisherman who catch too much!

TEACHER JAILED FOR SEX ABUSE…

A teacher at a mosque in Edinburgh convicted of sexually abusing two young girls has been jailed for 7 years.

Mahmood Qadri attacked the girls at Polwarth Mosque over a period of over 3 years in the 1990’s.

The high court in Glasgow said he will be under license for a further 2 years and will be place don the sex offenders register indefinitely.

FOLLOW UP OF ‘KISS’ CLEANER FACES RETRIAL…

A London underground cleaner accused of kissing a 17-year-old Edinburgh girl will face a retrial.

Muhammad Bashir, 34, allegedly stopped a girl at Euston for using the wrong ticket and ordered her to follow him. She said he then pulled her to him.

However, his trial at Southwark Crown Court for sexual assault was halted for ‘legal reasons’ and the jury was discharged.

OIL PRODUCERS ATTACK BROWN…

Oil producers have rounded on Gordon brown for complaining about prices while raking in huge fuel TAXES.

A senior OPEC figure branded the PM “confused” (isn’t that the truth) for demanding the cartel maintain output to control prices rather than reduce domestic duty (which makes up half the price you pay at the pump).

The spat threatened to overshadow a summit organised (no brewery involved) by Mr Brown in London, where he urged closer co-operation between oil producers and consumers.

A poem from Scottish member David Hockey

December 18, 2008

EXPLAIN TO ME by David Hockey

I’m a simple man, explain to me
I’m sure I’ll understand
What it is, our leaders have done
To this, The Greatest Land

261 murders
In the year of ‘58
A killing was the biggest news
Our papers would relate

Those in power in ’65, thought
‘That really is enough’
“Our people can live their life in ease’
‘Without us getting tough’

320 died that year
Suffering a killer’s blow
But from now on, there would be less
Our yearly figures will show

We quickly broke the gallows down
And threw away the noose
Barbarism had no place for us
Understanding was of more use

In ’69 we sealed the Act
No killer would pay ‘That ‘ price
Our population more civil now
Would become as quiet as mice

ONE year on, the figure rose,
…………………………396
If patience and understanding was shown
That would surely do the trick

1980… ten years on
that year………………….. 621
Some of us did have the thought
‘Is it right? what we have done’

In 1990 how many died?
…………………………….661
It looked as if, at last we’d peaked
The abolitioners MUST have won

2005, that year it claimed
………………………………853 !!!
“We’ve got it wrong?” .. I truly felt
Perhaps ………………………that was ONLY me

2007,…. that year a drop !!
A mere ………………………734
Our leaders still do not hear us cry
“For God’s sake, we want no more”

Today our papers lead off
With news of a celebrity
Who has now had two boob jobs
And is thinking about number three

Even better, a footballer’s mistress
Involved in some road rage
The Rape.. and Murder .. of an 80 year old
At the bottom ……………….. of the 14th page

I’m a simple man, explain to me
I’m sure I’ll understand
What it is, our leaders have done
To this, The Greatest Land

Our schools they were a place to learn
Teachers,… yes they were strict
True, we could be a rowdy lot
But a quick smack did the trick

When an adult spoke we listened hard
For we all knew our fate
If we messed about in class, at all
We’d be getting home real late

Parent’s questions, for sure they’d come
“What time do you call this?”
And one thing I’m NOT going to say
“I got a row from Miss”

When I was bad and I got caught
I surely got some strokes
But they were few and far between
Dad’s still the greatest of blokes

Today I can’t feel the smacks at all
My kids? ……… they are my light
And I will teach what Dad taught me
To know what’s wrong and right

Again it was, we HAD to change
Schools MUST get civilised
Understanding towards those kids we’ll give
They don’t need to be chastised

In ’87 they called a halt
The cane was gone for good
Scottish schools threw out the ‘strap’
As yet no one wore a hood

Now this may come as no surprise
But since that very day
Good order and good manners
In schools …. has melted away

Today if kids don’t want to work
Prefer to do sod all
Just tell the ‘Teach’ to “Go F off”
Then head down to the Mall

2008, things are getting worse
We ask Teachers to do their job
Prepare our children for a future bright
Why is your class a mob?

Our Teachers, they cannot control
Nor discipline their charge
For we took away from them their powers
To be a figure ……………. LARGE

We took away from them the tools
Now ? ……………. we just complain
Oh why can they not get results?
You know the answers plain

No discipline for kids in school
No rules from a heavy tome
How can old ‘Teach’ expect to win
When there is no discipline at home

As for home …”What can I do?”
“I’m not allowed to spank”
Our children use the threat of law
And think it such a prank

Our schools they yearly turn out
A generation who
Will live life doing nothing
Financed by me and you

Days of school, soon they pass
To a big wide world they’ll head
They’ll get a job, and live their life
……………………… When they get out of bed

They’ll meet a boss, …. “I’ll work for you”
“I’ll’ take your job today”
“What is it, to the job you bring?”
The boss is sure to say

“Well, …… not a lot, ….. nothing at all”
“For school was not for me”
Then speaks the boss, “Get bus back to town”
“It’s the Number 23”

Liberal schooling, it has failed them
More ‘Education’ they now seek
To learn how to work the system
For money every week

I’m a simple man, explain to me
I’m sure I’ll understand
What it is, our leaders have done
To this, The Greatest Land

Our Premier tells our people
“Your interests I have at heart”
Then he takes our soldiers
To a war that he HAD to start

A war to keep us safe and sound
As we sleep in our bed
Take “Weapons of Mass Destruction”
From those that would have us dead

Our Military power made tyrants fall
We freed those who were oppressed
No weapons of death…. have yet been found
By our leaders so obsessed

Our troops fight on in hostile lands
So very far away
Lives are lost and millions spend
Yes, each and every day

What is it for? Why are we there?
British blood on foreign loam
There are things far more pressing now
To sort out here at home

I’ve now had time to contemplate
I feel like such a fool
That I sit and do nothing
While the loony minority rule

My father too … fought bloody war
So I’d enjoy “Freedom of Speech”
Would he have thought, “Politically Correct”
Meant THAT ‘ Freedom’ was out of reach?

What the Majority wants the Majority gets
That’s certainly not true
For when I speak to honest folks
They feel no one supports their view

What of the men that took us here?
And the mistake they won’t admit?
Titles and financial rewards they get
After dinner they’ll be a hit

I’m a simple man, explain to me
I’m sure I’ll understand
What it is, our leaders have done
To this, The Greatest Land

One day there’s a decision
That some know will change they’re life
Just five words in an English tongue
A husband learns them with his wife

They pack up their belongings
They head off down a road
Does their future weigh upon on them
Like an unforgiving load?

Many countries their path takes them through
Where the U.N. says they can stay
Countries that are kind and just
Yet they still go on their way

On and on, they travel roads
Until their path’s denied
By 20 miles of water
High cliffs on the far side

Our travellers must now decide
Upon what they must do
To carry on across that swell
Or stay in this country new

They’ve passed through many many lands
Where sunshine is bright and warm
What lies ahead is dark and bleak
With hail and rain and storm

The lands they’ve passed have milk and wine
A man can lay his head
Upon the ground, beneath the stars
So warm, can make a bed

NO, they will strive, and they’ll press on
And any price they’ll pay
To cross that brine, to that dark place
They cannot stop today

When they get there and look around
A country cold, wet and bleak
And people that don’t understand
A single word they speak

Into a city they struggle on
Even though they do not fit
Unto a policeman, speak those five words
“Where do I get …. Benefits?”

I’m a simple man, explain to me
I’m sure I’ll understand
What it is, our leaders have done
To this, The Greatest Land

The time has come to for us to choose
Our feelings we must set free
I feel the choice is simple
It’s SANITY …….. not P.C.

Murderers must pay an ultimate price
For the life they took that day
And the pain they caused the families
That will never go away

Its true some hanged, committed no crime
Caused no murderous spree
But I do not recall, that in one year
We wrongly hanged ……………………853

There must now be a deterrent
What kind we can debate
As daily, more innocent than guilty
Pass through St. Peter’s Gate

For those that kill our innocents
A mother or her child
I feel for them no sympathy
They are to be reviled

You may tell me I’m not civilised
If what you say is true
Then I feel that I must reply
I’m glad I’m me …… not you

The world you’ve sought to live in
Is a Utopia,……. not real
I pray your never made aware
Of what the parents of a victim feel

Our schools, …… they must return once more
To places of learning and gain
Our children need to grow and learn
Without receiving pain

A simple Certificate can be their goal
If their behaviours good
No matter what results they get
If they work and are not rude

Once their days of learning pass
They can show they’ve done just fine
Leaving Certificates they will receive
If …….. 80% of their teachers sign

With that in hand they’ll venture out
A useful aid for work
It shows a boss, they’ll show respect
From labours they’ll not shirk

And what of those that don’t receive?
To school they thumbed their nose
Two years in a non-combative role
In Her Majesty’s Forces for those

“Good morning Sergeant Major”
“You got me out of bed”
“While I was lying wishing”
“I’d listened to what teacher said”

The time has come for us to say
That they have done their best
And bring our young men home again
Before their laid to rest

For what is it their fighting for?
It’s surely lost on me
Our premier was simply WRONG
Let’s end his killing spree

As soldiers die, the costs mount up
More money must we spend
To stand them in a foreign land
Ill equipped to self-defend

You must not spend what you can’t afford
Our elders taught us that
We must now stop our wasteful ways
Before we’re passing the hat

We cannot spend, we cannot lend
It’s time for US to save
There’s little chance, none at all
Others will refund what we gave

It’s time to stop the hand outs
To those that do not work
For we need folk that step up
And not those who will shirk

It’s time for us to close our doors
And think of family first
It’s time to look after our own
Before this land is ‘Burst’

No longer can we be the one
That gives succour to all
If in fact WE are the country
That now has “Bugger All”

I thank you patient reader
For giving me your time
And getting to the end
Of this my lengthy rhyme

One last thing I must beseech
You’re the only one I’ll ask
The answer to my final verse
It’s quite a simple task

If you cannot answer now
For no answer is in your view
I beg you that you give it thought
And let your heart be true

It’s YOU our country’s waiting for
It’s YOU who must now react
Don’t say ……“I can do nothing”
For nothing gets nothing … that’s a fact

I’m a simple man, explain to me
I’m sure I’ll understand
What it is, our leaders have done
To this, …………………………………… The Greatest Land

3 African Nationals jailed for false papers living in Edinburgh

December 18, 2008

THREE African nationals have been jailed for a year after being found living and working in Scotland using false documents, reports the Scotsman.

The two women and one man could also face deportation following their sentences after they were arrested during a UK Borders Agency crackdown.

At Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Olubukola Akeukereke, Asumpt Kamau and Philip Waweru all pleaded guilty to having false documents including UK, Nigerian and Kenyan passports and visas.

Microbiologist Miss Akeukereke, 28, had been found at her home in Brunswick Road with fake UK and Nigerian passports in a false name.

Miss Kamau, 43, was found with a Kenyan passport and fake UK residence permit and visa at her West Pilton Park home.

Mr Waweru, 28, was caught with a Kenyan passport and a UK residence permit and visa that were false at his Forrester Park address.

EU Ban Could Sink Fishing Trade in Scotland

December 18, 2008

Fishermen on Scotland’s west coast say they face being wiped out by the drastic cuts to their quotas being put forward by the European Union reports Yahoo news.

Unions say dozens of coastal communities are under threat from the proposed changes, which are expected to be confirmed in Brussels.

EU scientists have called for a complete ban on fishing for cod, haddock and whiting – the three main white fish stocks – because their numbers are now so low off the west coast of Scotland.

And while that could drive many white fish trawlers out of the water, the changes could also have an impact on 150 prawn and langoustine boats.

EU fisheries Commissioner Joe Borg says only those prawn and langoustine boats that are equipped with a special grid to stop other species being caught should be allowed to fish.

Langoustine catches are estimated to earn the west coast of Scotland up to £30m a year, unions say a fishing industry worth £75m a year, and supporting 2,000 jobs is under threat.

“This would have catastrophic economic consequences. It would leave fishing communities completely bereft,” said Scottish Fishermen’s Federation chief Bertie Armstrong.

“We recognise that the west coast cod, haddock and whiting stocks are in a poor state and action is needed to aid their recovery.

“But the langoustine stock is in a healthy state and the proposal for separator grids for the fishery, which is the bread and butter of the west coast fleet, will effectively close down fishing on the west coast.”

The annual wrangling over fish quotas for next year comes at a time when many skippers are under pressure from the impact of the financial crisis.

In the North Sea, fishermen will be able to catch more cod next year but only on the condition that they tackle the problem of waste.

Environmentalists say too many dead cod are thrown back because they are the wrong size.

Last week, EU fisheries ministers were warned that fish stocks risked complete collapse if they did not heed warnings and hand over responsibility for setting catch sizes to an independent body.

Sarkozy acts for ethnic diversity

December 17, 2008

PALAISEAU,

France (theregister.co.uk) — President Nicolas Sarkozy, impatient with what he said was the slow pace of promoting diversity in France, announced measures Wednesday to put more ethnic minorities on TV screens, in political parties and in elite schools.A government action plan to be presented by March will spell out the measures in detail. The project is to be overseen by a newly appointed commissioner for diversity and equality, Yazid Sabeg, a son of Algerian immigrants who is known for his efforts to bring equality to the workplace.

“It’s not moving fast enough,” Sarkozy said in a speech at the elite Ecole Polytechnique, south of Paris, a symbol of the very system that has locked minorities out of the mainstream. France must change so that “no French person feels like a stranger in his own country.”

Turning to his audience, Sarkozy said prestigious schools must make room for all.

“We are going to throw open the doors of places where tomorrow’s elite are formed,” he said.

He wants top schools to reserve 25 percent of their places for students receiving state aid by September _ and 30 percent by September 2010. Many students who receive government education funds are ethnic minorities from underprivileged backgrounds.

Increasing diversity was a campaign promise of Sarkozy, elected in May 2007. Long ignored, diversity topped the political agenda after fall 2005 riots in poor French neighbourhoods exposed deep anger among people of immigrant origin and revealed the extent of discrimination in France.

The election of Barack Obama as U.S. president sparked renewed soul-searching about why so few ethnic minorities rise to the top in France.

Sarkozy squarely rejected affirmative action for France. Nevertheless, in a significant departure from French practice, he raised the possibility that scientists might begin gathering statistics on ethnicity _ long taboo in a country that is officially colour-blind.

Researchers are handicapped by the inability to make head counts based on religious or ethnic factors and have pressed for permission to do so. Sarkozy said scientists must be able “to clearly identify lagging and measure progress.”

While offering no firm promises or dates, Sarkozy said a dialogue would be opened with scientists on how to advance ethnic diversity in France.

He encouraged companies to accept anonymous resumes from job seekers to avoid discrimination due to name or address, as is often the case today.

The government will propose that 100 large companies experiment with using such resumes in 2009, Sarkozy said, adding that he wants to extend the reach of the High Authority Against Discrimination so that it has the right to make surprise checks of work places.

Among other measures, political parties will be asked to sign a “diversity charter” that could become a criterion for receiving public funds, Sarkozy said.

Sarkozy also said TV stations would be required to spell out diversity goals to the CSA, France’s audiovisual watchdog.

Given that France is in charge of the EU at the moment, Sarkozy’s ideas may set a precedence for things to come for Britain in the future as a member state in the EU. If our lead candidate, Debbie McKnight, is elected into the EU next year she will be uncovering and reporting on EU business that is not made public in the media in Britain. Ms McKnight said, “As up to 80% of our laws are made in Brussels, Sarkozy’s ‘affection’ for ethnic minorities and diversity is unsettling to say the least – what about the indigenous people of France? I have also uncovered the following information on what the ‘leader’ of the EU is doing to France – and I’m not even there yet – so you can imagine what I would find out IF I WAS THERE!”

French storm the bastille over ‘Sarkozy’s Big Sister’ database

By John Ozimek

Imagine if you will an announcement by the UK Government that it is going to create a new database to track anyone over the age of 13, who has been “active in politics or the trade unions or who has a significant role in business, the media, entertainment or social or religious institutions”. Let us say 20 million individuals who the authorities believe are “likely to breach public order”.

This database would contain information ranging from telephone numbers and details of taxes and assets to sexual orientation.

So far so plausible. Next, imagine the newspapers – except, perhaps, the Express – wading in to condemn this assault on freedom. The Information Commissioner rails against it. Over 100,000 people sign a petition to have it dropped. Lawsuits are filed. The judges condemn it.

Trade Unions and the CBI say no. The Cabinet splits, as Des Browne, Secretary of State for Defence asks why we need it. Labour backbenchers are outraged.

It just could not happen, we hear you say. At least not in the UK.

Except this is exactly what is going on right now in France. It started on 1 July, when the

Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), the Office of the French Information Commissioner, forced the Government to publish a hitherto secret decree, authorising creation of a new security database.Information to be collected via ‘Edvige’ – a woman’s name, meaning, ironically ’sacred battle’ – will include “Civil status and occupation; physical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses; physical characteristics, photographs and behaviour; identity papers.”

This latter category is of especial concern. It suggests that Edvige – dubbed “Sarkozy’s Big Sister” by opponents – is intended to link directly to the newly created French 8-fingerprint biometric passport as well as to proposed biometric ID cards in future.

In vain, government spokespeople have attempted to calm debate.

They have depicted Edvige as no more than a modernised version of the files gathered by the Renseignements Généraux (RG) – the police intelligence service – who have been spying and collecting information on the activities of French citizens since their establishment by Napoleon. The RG amalgamated this year with the DST (Departement du Surveillance du Territoire), equivalent to Britain’s MI5, to form a new super-agency, called the Direction Centrale du Renseignement Intérieur (Central Directorate of Internal Intelligence).

They have also pointed out that there is already a lot of personal information out there on the internet – on Face book for instance. Therefore, government information gathering is OK.

However, they are clearly piqued by the failure of critics to understand the purity of their intentions. Slapping down Defence Minister, Hervé Morin, who had the temerity to question the point of such extensive data gathering, Prime Minister François Fillon responded rather sharply: “I don’t think it is necessary to create suspicion when none exists and I had the occasion to tell him so”.

Interior Minister, and law-and-order supremo Michèle Alliot-Marie, added, “It is odd that Mr Morin has not managed to find my telephone number. I would have set his mind at rest.”

Softly-softly seems to be the government stance. Having initially attempted to sneak this measure through without debate, they are now attempting to make a virtue of the public uproar. Arguing that “there is nothing to be worried about,” Minister for Immigration and National Identity Brice Hortefeux claims to welcome debate: “Complaints have been filed, let them be examined.”

Nonetheless, opposition remains formidable. Francois Bayrou, leader of the centrist MoDem party is against it. So too is Laurence Parisot, head of the Medef employer’s union.

Last word, perhaps, to Michel Pezet, a former member of the CNIL agency, who declares: “The Edvige database has no place in a democracy… The electronic Bastille is upon us.”

TUBE MAN ’KISSED TEENAGER’

An Edinburgh teenager has sobbed as she told a jury how a London underground cleaner lured her to a deserted part of a station and kissed her.

The 17-year-old told south wark crown court Muhammad bashir 34, stopped her and ordered her to follow him.

Bashir of Grantham road, Ilford, Essex, denies sexually assaulting the youngster on February 7th 2008.

CAR BOMBS PLOT DOCTOR JAILED

An NHS doctor has been jailed for a minimum of 32 years for plotting to murder hundreds of people with car bomb attacks on Glasgow airport and London.

The Woolwich crown court judge told Bilal Abdullah, 29, he was a “religious extremist and a bigot”.

Mr Justice McKay said his extreme form of Islamist views meant he continued to be a danger to the British public.

HOUSE EVICTIONS HAVE DOUBLED

Since Glasgow city council transferred it’s housing stock to an association in 2003, about twice as many tenants have been evicted, according to the charity SHELTER.

Overall, almost 10 people were evicted from their homes in Scotland every day last year, the housing charity said.

About 3,573 people – both council and housing association tenants – were forced out their home in 2007.

This number is likely to rise with the recession.

TB cases in Grampian have doubled since 2000

December 17, 2008

Immigration, which is at an all time high in Grampian, has partly been blamed for the doubling in tuberculosis (TB) figures since 2000.

Health Protection Scotland revealed that TB cases rose from 21 in 2000 to 41 in 2007 while other health board areas remained stable.

Groups at-risk included those who misused alcohol, worked in healthcare, suffered from immunosuppression or lived in a residential care home the annual report for TB in Scotland stated, almost 43% of cases – rising from 24% in 2001 were from people born outside the UK numbered. The report states: “Surveillance data for Scotland shows that the number of cases and the incidence of tuberculosis have remained relatively stable since 2000 with between 368 and 408 cases per year.”

However, it said that NHS Grampian’s figures had shown a continual rise.

An NHS Grampian representative referred to a report written earlier this year, which stated, “The number of cases in Grampian has almost doubled in the last three years. This contrasts with the overall trend in Scotland which has been stable over recent years“.

He continued, “The majority of the increase in Grampian has occurred in people who were not born in the UK. Again, this contrasts with Scotland overall. In 2006, 40% of cases in Scotland were in people not born in the UK, compared with 58% in Grampian. In 2007, the proportion of cases in non-UK born people further increased in Grampian to 67%.”

The health board’s report continues: “The increasing number of cases being diagnosed locally in people who were not born in the UK highlights the need to provide a comprehensive screening service for people coming to Grampian from countries with high rates of TB. Currently, the screening we offer is very limited and take-up is low”.

Therefore, it would seem that instead of the blame being directed towards Badgers it would be correct and not racist to say that immigration is responsible for the rise in TB in this country.

Interesting times ahead

A word often used to describe the BNP begins with f, no not that one, the word I am thinking of is family. I have attended BNP functions across the country each time my awareness of belonging to a family not just a political party has grown. With each attack against us by the establishment that feeling is strengthened there exists a bond between BNP members that I believe is unique in British politics today, a bond that the liberal fascists will never break.
Events over this year, attacked from with-in as well as from the usual suspects, a growing use of violence and intimidation waged against us in an effort to stem our growth, along with the publishing of an old membership list has simply strengthened those ties that bond us together.
It is also together that we face the future, the party has never been so well organized and focused, the professionalism now shines throughout the BNP the commitment to win power has also never been greater or some would say more likely.
The end of this year sees us thankfully in better shape than the beginning did, in Jan 2008 only three officials remained in place the others either being sacked or resigning from their positions.
In Jan 2009 we will have over twenty officials in place. A whole new structure is now firmly established to put us on a par with other Scottish political parties.

Seven Regional organisers and fund holders with official contacts across Scotland.

We now also have our own web site www.scotland.bnp.org.uk being run by our own cyber-activity team who aim to continue improving the site.
We have only lost a handful of members due to the release of the old membership list each being replaced twice over by new members. Out of the new seven regional groups six have appointed organisers and fund holders only the Central region remains to be established.
Our candidates list for the EU elections has been finalised and a lead candidate (Debbie McKnight) appointed.
Scottish Officials have attended four regional meetings as well as the RWB family festival and the party conference, a big meeting for all Scottish members is booked for March 09 along with a tour of the truth truck throughout our major population areas.
The profile of the BNP has been raised considerably over recent weeks across the whole of Scotland, every region will be conducting paper sales in the new year to promote the party and its policies in the run up to the EU elections. I hope that wherever you live you will consider taking part in any future BNP activities held in your regions, make a New years resolution to do all you can in 2009 to aid the Scottish Office, officials, and activists in your areas to raise the profile of the party and help get our candidate to Brussel’s.

May I wish you and yours a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year, a year that promises to be very interesting!

A Small Christmas Rant

December 16, 2008

Yes folks, it’s that time of year again. The time of year when all the politically correct, anti-Christmas lunatics come out to play. The time of year when the intellectual elite and the religious zealots join forces to destroy the traditions of my once great nation.

Oh, you’ve heard it all before, I know. The cries to have Christma…. err, I mean “Holiday” trees removed from schools. The demands to have nativity scenes banished from department stores and on and on and on. Well we’re going one better this year because our own government is discussing selling out the traditional British Christmas in favour of other foreign holidays. A so-called Labour party “think tank” (now there’s an oxymoron if ever I saw one) has decided we should be reducing the importance of Christmas in favour of other religious festivals. Why? To improve race relations in our “multicultural society”, of course.

The report released by this “think tank” has declared that organisations should now give other religious festivals at least equal priority to Christmas. Their proposals for the final destruction of Britain doesn’t end there, though. Oh, no. That would be irresponsible of them. Other corrosive little changes they propose are:-

1. ‘Birth ceremonies’, at which state and parents agree to “work in partnership” to bring up children.

2. Action to “ensure access” for ethnic minorities to “largely white” countryside.

3. An overhaul of Britain’s “imperial” honours system.

4. Bishops being thrown out of the House of Lords.

5. An end to “sectarian” religious education.

6. Flying flags other than the Union Flag.

As you can see, all of the changes suggested above (except for the first one intended to meddle with family control) are designed to remove British traditions so as to encourage non-indigenous religions.

Other than when it snows, can someone explain to me just what the hell is a “largely white” countryside??

I especially like the last one. I can foresee a plethora of Hamas and Hezbollah flags sprouting up all over “British” streets at the same time as police are ordered to take down the Union Flag from outside homes and pubs.

Those of you who know me are probably wondering why I’m getting my knickers in a twist over what is essentially a religious issue when I’m in actual fact an atheist. Well it’s not the religious bickering I have a problem with as such. It’s the continual chipping away of our British identity that gets under my skin. Although I’m an Atheist, I like Christmas because it’s the one time of year in this country when there is an air of cheerfulness and togetherness about the place. I LIKE seeing Christmas trees in the streets. I LIKE seeing nativity scenes in department stores. Not because of the religious overtones but because it’s tradition. It’s part of our BRITISH identity.

But these latest little nuggets of genius are just more nails in the coffin of what was once Great Britain, and the people with the hammers in their hands are those very people who’s job it is to protect and serve Britain’s interests. Our Government.

We are ready and willing, are you?

Debbie McKnight

Debbie McKnight

The ukip branch in Aberdeen recently announced it had held a packed meeting, strange then that the last post on its website was October 13th and the Scottish ukip site has disappeared all together. Ex-ukip members are coming across to the BNP in droves as the realization that their media backed leadership has betrayed them sinks in.

The only political party standing squarely against membership of the EU is the BNP, when ukip candidates were elected to Brussels a sigh of relief went round the establishment, for these people were and remain puppets whose only purpose is to stop the BNP winning seats, they are now, as stated by EU officials, a “footnote to history”, with no significance at all.

In 2009 the people will have the chance to elect true nationalists and send a clear message to those that deny us a referendum that we wish to retain Britain’s sovereignty and wrestle control of our own destiny back from the Europhiles, the combined vote of ukip and BNP in 2004 may have secured a seat, with the growth in support for the BNP along with the collapse in support for ukip it is possible to reach the percentage needed to win next year.

But to make this a reality we have to put in the work, our profile in Scotland has been raised considerably over the last few weeks and we must keep the party in the public eye, to that end the truth truck is booked for a tour early next year and we will be holding a EU candidate launch with the Chairman as guest speaker at the same time.

We need to raise funds to ensure that every household receives our election address, we need teams of activists to meet the truth truck when it turns up in their hometowns to help leaflet and distribute the Voice of freedom newspaper. If you can’t do one do the other, every member can play his or her part by donation or by footwork!

We have selected our prospective lead candidate, Debbie McKnight who is 30 years old and holds an NC in Social Sciences.

Debbie told the Scottish Office, I have seen what is happening to Scotland through the EU imposing laws on the people of this country – what with fishing quotas, the farce that was fruit and vegetables had to be a certain size and weight or they would be discarded when prices are so high for them, the amount of money that the government gives to the EU when our own people are struggling and that there has never been a referendum on the Lisbon treaty to ask the public what they want”.

Debbie went on to say, “with my standing as a member of the European Parliament I am standing up for every other person in this country who deserves to be represented in the EU, I will also ensure that I will find out the truth about what is happening in regards to the EU budget and how it affects the UK”.

Debbie is the face of new modern British Nationalism, we have increased the number of officials in Scotland by 75% over 2008 and have a committed team of activists backing Debbie in this campaign. We are ready and willing to do our bit, are you?

PC TRAINING FOR MSP’S TO COST TAXPAYER NEARLY HALF A MILLION POUNDS

December 15, 2008

In the Telegraph today,

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money is to be spent teaching Scottish Parliament staff not to use “potentially offensive” words such as ‘chav’, ‘jock’ and even ‘girl’.

Holyrood chiefs are seeking a company to provide equalities training after the current contract came up for renewal.

The successful firm is expected to inform staff of words and terms that could be offensive to others and should not be used verbally or in internal communications.

Although there is no officially sanctioned blacklist, Scottish Parliament employees are encouraged not to use ‘chav’, ‘jock’ or ‘girl’ as they are deemed potentially demeaning to others.

The Scottish Parliament is also seeking tenders for a contract providing training in office, management and language skills, including Gaelic, for its 500 staff and MSPs.

The two contracts will form part of a package that will cost the public purse £475,000, a sum that a parliament representative defended on the grounds that the training is legally required and “a vital part of any organisation”.

However, Richard Cook, director for the Campaign Against Political Correctness in Scotland, said. “This £475,000 would be better spent on people’s priorities at this time of economic crisis.

“Ordinary people know how to treat others with respect – they don’t need to be told.”

Matthew Elliott, of the Taxpayers’ Alliance, added, “The idea that large amounts of money should be spent on Gaelic training when so few people speak the language is a luxury we can’t afford in a recession.”

The current equalities training contract is worth £144,000 and involves staff taking part in workshops on subjects such as ‘dignity at work’ and ‘diversity in the parliament’.

Employees are provided with a list of words that people may find offensive, including racist terms like ‘coloured’ and ‘half-caste.

However, a series of seemingly innocuous words are also discouraged from being used, such as ‘pensioner’. The training is compulsory.

The parliament currently spends about £9,000 per year on voluntary Gaelic training for staff and this forms only a small part of the office, management and language skills contract.

A Holyrood representative said that equality and diversity training was a legal requirement and compulsory as part of staff induction and training courses. The cost per employee is about £250.

He said: “The Parliament has never banned any words during its equalities training but as equalities is one of the founding principles of the Scottish Parliament, it is important staff are aware of the impact the words they use may have on others.

“Consequently, part of our equalities training is about ensuring language used is respectful and inclusive.”

Under the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005, Holyrood is one of several public bodies required to draw up statutory Gaelic language plans.

If the British National Party was in power that would be half a million saved!

WELLINGTON MEMORIAL DAY OF ACTIVISM IN GLASGOW

December 14, 2008

A successful day of newspaper distribution was carried out in Glasgow city centre on Saturday. As is now standard practise the police were briefed well in advance on, our plans and we adhered to these plans exactly.

The operation began on time at 12.30pm and all five volunteers met as agreed at the rendezvous. We then proceeded immediately to the location, which is adjacent to the Gallery of Modern Art and the statue of the Duke of Wellington. The police contacted us almost immediately and deployed two officers to observe proceedings and, if necessary, radio up reinforcements.

The distribution was carried out unhindered for 1 hour and 5 minutes during which time a large number of papers were handed out. Very few, if any, papers were discarded and some members of the public expressed more than a passing interest in the party. As we have come to expect these days some people wanted to shake our hands and were obviously delighted to see us in action on the street, where it matters. During the course of the afternoon, some 200 papers were distributed.

The day was marred, unfortunately, by the unacceptable behaviour of a group of Far Left thugs who have a regular presence in Buchanan Street opposite Borders Bookshop on Saturdays. At 13.35, they started to attempt intimidation of the leader of our group and his lieutenant. They were standing alone and covering the entry/exit routes while the other three members stood back in a group at the railings holding papers and the Union Flag aloft. Despite repeated attempts to unnerve, the public and ourselves, our seasoned street men carried on regardless. We were outnumbered by approximately a factor of ten. As one group of shouting thugs gave up another would take their place and our tactics altered slightly. We asked the public to defy the communists and take a paper. This “marketing” technique was most effective.

The following account of a most disgusting and despicable example of the behaviour of the Labour Thugs is quoted verbatim by a female activist, who was the victim of their vile behaviour,

‘We started to notice that people on the fringes were taking photographs of us while trying to appear anonymous so our flag bearer and I took out our mobiles and took photographs of them. There were “Celtic fans” there and when they saw us with the mobile phones, they covered their faces with their Celtic scarves and shouted, “Stop taking our picture”. Our flag bearer was bellowing out “we have nothing to hide – we are on the list and we are proud and not ashamed!” The unwashed split into small groups halting pedestrians, saying to them the usual tripe, and getting the pedestrians to say things to us. They also were intimidating people who had taken a paper by following them along the street. The Lefties started to edge closer to us taking pictures of themselves with a fascist poster with Hitler on it and us in the background. Then before I knew it, a short fat bloke ran into an elderly activist, barging into him and grabbing his papers, throwing them to the ground. Fatty ran past the flag bearer, flailing his arms and grabbed hold of my papers and I held on to them and remained steadfast. He then grabbed my coat, mid chest, with one hand and still had hold of the papers, which I promptly let go and he tried to pull me to the ground. The flag bearer came round from my left to get the person off me and grabbed a hold of the same area Fatty had grabbed me and held him away from me – all the while holding the Union Flag aloft! The police had thrown down their bikes and ran over to where we were as soon as this person grabbed me. He fought with the police as two of them pinned him to the railings and he was subsequently cuffed and quickly removed from the scene. Our flag bearer shouted that they were cowards who had attacked an old man and a woman to a subdued mob. One member of the public expressed disgust that they had attacked a woman and another one, possibly the ringleader, said “but she is a Fascist” and the member of the public said, “I don’t care what she is – you should not attack a woman”. He courageously said that he would give his name to the police as a witness. Charges will be pressed.

The Labour Thugs may not have learnt any lessons from this as they have a habit of repeating the same mistakes repeatedly. Unfortunately, this is having dire consequences for our country at large and we are suffering from a Marxist Doctrine, which attempts to destroy our hard won freedoms and impose a form of inverted racism upon us all. These evil traitors and their perverted political theories are out to destroy our country via “multiculturalism” (New Communism) which is a smokescreen expression for racial engineering. However, the country may be destroyed even sooner than most people think, by Labours economic incompetence as well as its ideological excesses.

The Fools Paradise in which we have been living for the past ten years is almost over.

NHS Told to Cap Spending at £800m as Government Gives £480m Aid to Pakistan

December 14, 2008

The finer details of the earlier reported £480 million support package for the Pakistani government have been revealed at a Scottish mosque — simultaneous with the announcement that a cap on spending has been ordered on the NHS because of its dire financial situation.

Douglas Alexander, the UK international development secretary, said the money for Pakistan is “intended to help increase security in border regions and focus on education and health.”

The Labour MP launched the plan at Glasgow Central Mosque marking the end of a UK-wide tour to meet people of Pakistani origin.

The UK wanted to “help ease the suffering of the 36 million poor people living in Pakistan,” Mr Alexander added. More than £250m has been earmarked to increase training for young people and get five million children into school. Other plans for the money include helping reduce the incidence of diseases such as TB and polio, and assisting with earthquake reconstruction.

“Our aim is to continue to help improve poor people’s lives in key areas, making sure they have access to better healthcare, schools and employment opportunities.”

Mr Alexander’s obsession with improving people’s lives and making sure that they have better access to healthcare, obviously do not extend to British people.

The NHS operating framework for 2009-10 confirms the DH will ask the NHS to cap spending to just £800m over the next two financial years. That will leave the Department of Health going into negotiations with the Treasury over the NHS’s allocation for the tight period 2011-12 to 2013-14 with a £1bn surplus, which experts said it would be impossible to ignore.

Asked if the £1bn was effectively lost, NHS chief executive David Nicholson said, “All we can say is what our own secretary of state has said, which is that the surpluses stay where the surpluses are, and that’s our assumption going into the next comprehensive spending review.”

Last year it was announced that the NHS had slipped even deeper into debt with its total deficit reaching £1.318 billion. At the same time, it was announced that up to 60 NHS trusts were in the process of drawing up plans to strip some hospitals of key services, such as A&E and maternity services, all because of a lack of funding.

BNP Scotland’s Mike Smith in news again

December 11, 2008

From the Dunfirmline Press.
BNP candidate Michael Smith, who will stand against Prime Minister Gordon Brown at the next general election, has defended his party against charges of racism.

Mr Smith (60), who has a farm near Cleish, will contest the Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency, which takes in Kelty and Dalgety Bay.

He quit the Tory Party three years ago because they were “too soft on everything”.

Labour MSP Helen Eadie said this week there should be no place for a “racist party” like the BNP in politics and believed the “enlightened” local electorate would make that clear.

The BNP came in for strong criticism recently after placing a wreath at Dunfermline cenotaph on Remembrance Day but Mr Smith feels his new party could prove more popular than the Conservatives in parts of Fife.

“I have friends from mining areas and the Tories will always be remembered there for the miners’ strike and the poll tax,” he said.

On his new party, Mr Smith said, “We are often stigmatised and portrayed as the skinhead types of the 1980s.

“However, the party members I’ve met, and I was at a meeting just recently in Perth, are nice family people who are proudly patriotic.

“I’m patriotic as well. I’m Scottish but I’m also proud to be British.”

Mr Smith has a long list of policies where he claims Gordon Brown has failed the country.

“He throws our money around with great profligacy – £850 million to China and £32 million to the Palestinians when we don’t even have a dual carriageway to Inverness,” he said.

“We’ve had a case of a West African women arriving in this country with full-blown AIDS. It’s health tourism and where do you draw the line?

“The foreign policy has been pretty foolhardy. If we were going to go to war with anyone, it should’ve been Zimbabwe. They’ve given more reason than anyone else.

“I said that before they hung Saddam Hussein, George Bush should have called him and said ‘There’s been a terrible mistake, take it back off our hands’.”

Mr Smith said the Prime Minister had also let down the British public by failing to have a referendum over Europe and now by possibly looking to delay the aircraft carriers programme.

“During this economic downturn, most other countries’ fiscal strategy is to bring forward projects like roads and the aircraft carriers but Brown is so much in debt he wants to put them back.”

Mr Smith, whose father Sir Alan, now 92, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for valour during the second world war, believes that British servicemen have also been let down with poor equipment in conflict zones.

The candidate said UKIP, another right-wing party who have previously contested Fife seats, are a “one-trick pony”, only focused on European policy.

“The BNP is probably where the Tory right wingers were about 30 years ago.

“People like Norman Tebbit back then and even nowadays the likes of John Redwood and William Hague are not too far away,” said Mr Smith.

“I have more time for old Labour than New Labour. At least people like Tony Benn have principles but not the new lot. Tony Blair once made a speech saying we were a nation of immigrants, which was bloody insulting.

“You have cases like the Kriss Donald murder in Glasgow (a schoolboy abducted and killed by a group of Asians) and you know if it was the other way around, all hell would break loose from the PC brigade.

“Also, if I was to marry somebody else I would be a bigamist but a Muslim can have four wives and can get tax credit for it.”

Mr Smith had been planning to stand when it was rumoured the Prime Minister was going to call an election just over a year ago but now thinks Labour will hold on to the last possible date.

“Their MPs want to make sure they get every last penny they can before they’re booted out,” said Mr Smith.

Kelty Labour councillor Alex Rowley, said, “At the end of the day the electorate will decide but the BNP represents a type of extremism which I hope does not spread in Fife.”

Dunfermline East MSP Helen Eadie, who lives in Dalgety Bay, said, “There is no place for a racist party in British politics and if they decide to stand in the Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath seat, I’m sure the enlightened voters here will make that clear.

“The people in this area are tolerant people and there’s no place for an intolerant party.”
