POLICE IN RACE BIAS OUTRAGE

Scottish forces ordered to give priority to crimes against Muslims
by Dean Herbert

Police in Scotland have been ordered to give special priority to crimes where the victims are Muslim.

In a move that last night sparked a fresh row over political correctness, a senior officer revealed that the race and religion of a victim has now become a crucial factor in how police respond to crime.

Inspector Tom Galbraith, of Lothian and Borders Police’s diversity unit, told a conference on tackling terrorism that it was important to stop Scottish Muslims feeling “vulnerable” in case they were driven towards radicalism.

Mr. Galbraith said the force encouraged officers to consider the religious or ethnic backgrounds of victims to assess their needs in dealing with hate crimes.

He said that both an attack and a perceived lack of action by police could turn Islamic youths into future terrorists.

Mr. Galbraith also revealed that police officers, Special Branch and BAA security staff were being given special lessons about Islamic culture after Muslims complained that being questioned when entering the country about whether they pray and attend mosques was offensive to their faith.

Speaking at a national security conference in Edinburgh on Thursday, Mr. Galbraith said, “It is not about treating everybody the same.

If I have a young Asian man who has been subjected to a hate crime, I would rather put more resources into that than if it had happened to a white male because the white male is far less likely to end up becoming radicalised.”

He later confirmed that his remarks were in line with Lothian and Borders Police policy, saying that cases of hate crime were assessed “by need”.

He added: “You have to consider cases according to need. The idea of treating people all the same is a bit naive and we have to remember that there are vulnerable individuals who can be put on the path of radicalism.”

Last night, the police were criticised for being too politically correct in dealing with hate crimes.

Conservative Justice spokesman Bill Aitken said: “I’m afraid we are now living in a society in which some people are more equal than others.

“Not accepting assault against some people is a serious matter and the law is required to be proactive in each and every case.

“There is no room for political correctness in the fight against crime.”
Richard Cook, Scottish spokesman for the Campaign Against Political Correctness, added: “I think people will be extremely concerned that victims are being treated differently according to their religion, colour of their skin and where they live.”

During the conference, Mr. Galbraith also said that police officers and airport security staff were being given lessons in Islamic culture to avoid offending arrivals.

He said: “Sometimes they will be asked “Do you pray?” or “Do you visit mosques?” when they arrive in the country.

“This kind of thing is derogatory to the Islamic faith. A lot of people then wonder what is wrong with going to mosques in this country.

“It is about making an effort in learning about other cultures and faiths.”

He later confirmed that training in Islamic culture was now on-going among officers.

Mr. Galbraith joined Lothian and Borders police in 1988.

He presently works in the diversity unit under the “prevent” strand of the UK counter-terrorism strategy.

You couldn’t make this stuff up!

You Don’t Have To Be Scottish To Play For Scotland

February 27, 2009

eu_map_britain_redrawn
The SFA have revealed new plans on recruiting NON-SCOTS AND ASYLUM SEEKERS to play for Scotland!

They want ANY footballer who has spent five years or more in education under the age of 16 in one of the Home Nations to be eligible to represent that country.

Initial talks took place last month in Holland between Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

At the International Football Association Board meeting in Northern Ireland tomorrow plans will be discussed between Scottish Football chiefs and their Home Nations counterparts.

President of the SFA, George Peat, said, “We are looking at it to apply to those who have been in Scottish education for four or five years before the school leaving age – which would be 16 – and then became British passport holders.

“Essentially, these people regard themselves as Scottish.

“England were at the meeting in Holland but, unfortunately, the FA’s representative did not have the authority for the issue we were discussing. They took it back to the FA.

“I’ve no doubt it will be raised on an informal basis when all four Home Nations gather in Northern Ireland”.

So there you have it. When your young son or daughter is showing skills in football, you would be advised to just say NO as they won’t fit the proper criteria of NOT being from another country so they won’t be picked for the National side when they’re older.

This is basically an invasion of the last bastion of escapism from the real world. Football fans used to emerge themselves into football and support their country.

Well Tartan Army, not long until you have to choose a new name. How about Multicultural World Diversity Team of the North Atlantic/Atlantic/North Sea Region of Europe? Simply put, Scotland is earmarked by the EU to no longer be a country on its own but split into three separate regions of the EU.

Only under the British National Party will the home nations still exist as countries that make up Britain.

Immigration blarney

February 26, 2009

Published Date: 25 February 2009 The Scotsman

The last time the Home Office produced an estimate on the number of immigrants coming to Britain was in May 2004 on the accession of eastern European countries and others to the EU.
Then, the Home Office believed the number of immigrants seeking entry to Britain would not exceed 13,000.

As it happened the numbers hit circa 80,000 for the year. For Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, to estimate that she will “almost halve the numbers” of highly qualified immigrants to Britain from 26,000 to 14,000 is just another example of official blarney (your report, 23 February).

It is not surprising that in unreported English local government by-election contests in the past three months, the number of victories and close seconds secured by the British National Party is driving the Labour government to crank up its pie-crust promises on immigration curbs.

The electorate, however, will not be duped. Too many broken promises, too many jobs lost to non-British workers.

Common Sense In Fife?

February 26, 2009

Councillors in Fife have made a surprising, but sensible, decision to throw out a proposal by Fife Islamic Centre for a mosque in Cumbrae Terrace, Kirkcaldy – FOR NOW!

Members of the Kirkcaldy area committee said that the mosque would raise transport issues and impinge on open space.

The proposal was voted down by seven votes to two.

Councillor Neil Crooks said the development could not proceed until more was known about plans to dual a section of Chapel Level at the top of Hendry Road.

At the moment there are no firm plans but Fife Council is considering two options for replacing the existing junction—either creating a roundabout or a new traffic lights system.

“One of the biggest issues we are going to face in Kirkcaldy is the dual carriageway,” Mr Crooks said, and suggested the matter be continued to a later date.

Arguments for and against the proposal were considered and Councillor David Ross agreed with Mr Crooks that the matter should be continued.

“Although transportation are not raising any object-ions they have not had a full traffic impact assessment completed,” he said.

Other suggested sites by Councillor David Torrance were like Mitchelston industrial estate and John Smith Business Park.

“I’m definitely not against this development but I think the site is wrong,” he said. “The area is already badly congested.

“I would like to see consultation with estates management for an alternative site.”

Mr Torrance’s motion was seconded by Councillor Ron Edwards who said, “It’s a very nice-looking building but I would say that we should not lose open space because of it.”

Council planner Elspeth Cook’s report to the committee said the mosque would be an acceptable development despite the fact it would involve building on green space protected by the adopted local plan.

Although a revised plan is set to come into force soon, at the time the plans were submitted policy allowed for flexibility where the proposal enhanced the area.

Ms Cook said the mosque was an acceptable departure from the development plan because it would be replacing existing facilities.
Only two members of the committee—Councillor George Kay and Chairwoman Councillor Alice Soper—voted in favour of the planner’s recommendation to approve the plans.

Mr Kay said, “I really do welcome this proposal. I think it’s only too sad that places of worship are being lost to us and we see them turned into pubs and warehouses and all those sorts of things.”
The council received 16 letters of objection and a petition of 43 signatures in opposition to the mosque.

Many reasons for the objections included concerns about increased traffic, loss of open space, noise disturbance and loss of access to the neighbouring pigeon club.

Other concerns included that the mosque would be too big, out of character and would affect property prices.

It seems that this isn’t the end for a mosque in Fife. Residents in Fife should keep an eye out and oppose this invasion on our Christian heritage.

SNP Giving Taxpayers Money To Gaza Instead of The People It Was Meant For

February 25, 2009

The British taxpayer will be pleased to know that the SNP are spending their hard earned money on services that they deem suitable for the good of the taxpayer.

The Scottish Government have allocated £427,996 from the International Development Fund in support of humanitarian need in Gaza.

The ‘nice chap’ who approved the allocation of nearly half a million pounds was Michael Russell, Minister for External Affairs and is for all to see on the SNP website (aka Scottish National Islamic Party).

Michael Russell said:

“The scale of the devastation in Gaza as a result of the recent conflict is staggering with over 1,400 Palestinians killed in the recent conflict. A further 5,380 are seriously injured and 21,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged. As a responsible nation, we must take whatever action we can to help innocent civilians enduring extreme suffering as a result of such conflict.

“Scottish charities have a long history of responding quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Today I am making funding available to eight organisations with track records of working with local partners to deliver targeted humanitarian aid to the people needing it most.

“The Disasters Emergency Committee campaign for Gaza is still open, and I would encourage Scots to dig deep and contribute what they can to help alleviate the awful suffering of these innocent civilians in Gaza.”

Glasgow “The Caring City” will provide equipment for frontline medical workers and Edinburgh Direct Aid will provide essential medical aid to the Jabliyeh area.

Samina Haq of Islamic Relief said:

“Islamic Relief is pleased to be implementing this critical environmental clean-up project with the support of the Scottish Government. It will also help create jobs for unemployed labourers in and around Gaza City, and in the northern Gaza Strip, by supporting the removal of rubble caused by the weeks of conflict.

We value our partnership with the Scottish Government and look forward to working with them in future endeavours.”

Future endeavours? Would that mean more tax payers money leaving the country instead of using it for what it was intended for, you and I?

Steven James, Chief Executive of Medical Aid for Palestinians, said:

“It is only as the dust clears over Gaza that we are truly able to assess the full extent of the damage and the work to be done. In the aftermath of the bombardment, whole families have been left without homes or shelter.

A huge number of casualties continue to require intensive medical care, whilst chronic disease and infection rates are likely to soar due to water and food shortages across the Gaza Strip.

“To support the large number of displaced people, we are deploying 12,000 hygiene and nutrition kits to those most vulnerable, the under-fives and people with disability, and their families. These kits will boost nutrition and hygiene whilst maintaining the dignity of families trying to care for themselves in appalling conditions.

The generous support of this programme by the Scottish Government International Development Fund will offer immediate and long-lasting support as they attempt to rebuild their shattered lives.”

But, as reported in the Scotland on Sunday on 18th January 2009 there are often two sides to any story;

A SCOTTISH professor last night told of his struggle to help Israeli victims of the conflict in Gaza.

Professor Eric Shinwell, based in an Israeli hospital close to the border with the Palestinian territory, said the victims of Hamas rocket attacks were often overlooked, and he criticised the Scottish health service, saying it was offering aid to victims in Gaza but not those in Israel.

The director of the hospital’s child health department spoke of the dire situation at the hospital in the town of Rehovot, where staff is working around the clock to treat patients who are lying in the corridors and dining hall, as Hamas rockets explode a mile away.

Shinwell, 50, who left Glasgow for Israel 27 years ago, said the wards were running out of equipment and supplies to treat the hundreds of patients coming to the hospital, which was running at 200% capacity.

Last week Nicola Sturgeon announced Scotland’s health service was ready to help “civilians affected by the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza”, and would respond to requests for doctors, nurses and supplies.

Shinwell hit back at the offer, claiming it was addressed to victims in Gaza without considering those suffering in Israel.

He said: “The suggestion that there is a humanitarian crisis that is only one-sided, but the situation here is that it’s very dangerous and very unpleasant and I think the world outside ought to know what’s going on.

“We are having 40, 60, 80 rockets fired at our town every day. It’s an enormous problem on this side of the border as well. The goodwill of the doctors and nurses and technicians and everyone else is keeping the hospital open, a lot of people are working extra shifts.”

The hospital, in the town of Rehovot, is just a mile outside the reach of Hamas rockets coming from across the Gaza border, which have razed much of the surrounding area.

Shinwell, who is in charge of the 6,000 women a year who give birth in the hospital and their babies, has seen dozen of pregnant mothers from the rocket zone arriving at the hospital in the past days.

He said: “The women who come here, we don’t have enough beds for them, we don’t have enough places to put them, the room is overflowing non-stop and we have people working around the clock.

“We had a mother who delivered here last week whose baby is very sick. She has three children at home in the rocket zone. The children are there with her parents, they are terrified but she can’t go to be with them. The stress on people here is enormous.”

Shinwell, who lives in Israel with his four children and two young grandchildren, said: “People who live in peaceful situations don’t understand us. I imagine if some country was bombing Glasgow and Edinburgh and people had to run to Aberdeen, the world might see things ever so slightly differently.”

But Mohammed Asif of the Scottish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign said: “In Gaza the hospitals are getting bombed, and with phosphorus which is illegal.

“You can’t compare the humanitarian crisis, you see Israelis having to live in shelters but they are lucky, at least they have somewhere to shelter.”

A Scottish Government spokeswoman denied that aid was offered solely to victims in Gaza. She said: “We have announced that we stand ready to respond to requests for assistance.”

And we all know who that is, don’t we?

How Many More Can We Take!

February 24, 2009

Asylum seekers, failed asylum seekers, refugees, economic migrants, immigrants, health migrants and assorted wandering, foreign, scrounging nomads. How many more can we take?

Our hospitals are full, our surgeries are full, and our schools are full. Our economy is in total meltdown, our jobs are disappearing, our unemployed numbers are growing, and homes are being repossessed. But still they come, still the Scottish government invites them to come – come one – come all – trample over our sick, our old people, our unemployed, and we’ll direct you to all you want, free, free, free. We’ll offload your non-English speaking / reading / writing offspring into our schools and they can stagnate the education of our very own children. We’ll place the poor wee 100% subsidized asylum seekers in free furnished, repair free accommodation. We’ll wise them up on how to keep the houses fully heated for free whilst thousands of our own over 65’s die of hypothermia in their freezing homes. We’ll instruct you on how to get free health and dentistry treatment whilst our very own are being denied lifesaving anti-cancer drugs through lack of finance. And it’s unlimited free legal aid, advice, lawyers and translators, all free, should anybody attempt to deport you.

Why can’t we at least deport the illegals who have no right to be here? Part reason is because our Home Office turns a blind eye to the criminal actions of immigrant support groups who break our laws to keep the illegals here. Like this piece of madness ….

The Home Office deportation centre for illegals is situated at Brand Street, Ibrox, Glasgow. Unity Centre, a funded immigrant support group ‘‘offering friendly, practical solidarity and mutual aid to all asylum seekers, refugees and sans papiers’’ advertises that they are ‘‘less than 100 metres from the main entrance of the Home Office on Brand Street’’. The aid they offer to about to be deportees is that prior to going for their Home Office appointment, the deportees are instructed to register at Unity and leave their personal belongings, house keys etc, documents, and belongings at the Unity Centre. Purpose is to assist the deportees to escape legal deportation – without documents they can’t be deported. The British taxpayers supply the finance to our government, who supply the finance to immigration support groups, who illegally assist the deportees from being legally deported. What utter madness.

Here’s more madness ….
Glasgow based public funded charity, Positive Action in Housing, set up an internet petition to the First Minister of Scotland requesting an amnesty for thousands of asylum families in Scotland to be allowed to stay in Scotland permanently. This petition is now lying abandoned on the internet and is now being used to advertise sex aids and pornography websites. So why no farther need for the petition? Alex Salmond, First Minister, is underhandedly allowing the failed asylum seekers the ‘‘right to stay’’ in Scotland. He is acting illegally, asylum and immigration are not under his remit. Salmond is the same fool who is currently funding Scotland’s Equality and Human Rights Commission, to bring ‘new migrants’ to Scotland to fill jobs. What jobs?

In a recent newspaper article covering a Glasgow nursery, the photograph showed 24 children of whom 22 were foreign incomers. The remaining children were two small Scots, looking completely lost, forgotten and bewildered in their own neighbourhood, city and country.

If the people of Scotland, the true Scots, don’t wake up, they will find themselves completely lost, forgotten and bewildered without a country.

Stand down Salmond

February 24, 2009

Over a year ago BNP Scotland called on Alex Salmond to resign as an MP and we do so again today.
Salmond has been accused of misleading voters over his record as an MP since becoming First Minister, the SNP leader claims to consistently rank among the top ten hardest working Scots at Westminster.
However a quick check of parliamentary monitors shows that Salmond has voted only eight times in the house of commons in the past year and spoke in just one debate, doesn’t say much for the other hard working Scots at Westminster!

How arrogant can this man get? To assume he can do three jobs when one is enough for mere mortals. He should stop misleading the public whether in the SNP’s failing manifesto or in the Scottish parliament and concentrate on being First Minister and start delivering on his promises.

The SNP leader takes his full £63,000 MP’s pay packet and expenses on top of his £80,000 salary as First Minister along with one-third of an MSP’s £55,000 pay although he donates this to a charity.

Just how does he give any value to the people he is supposed to represent as an MP for Banff and Buchan, an MSP for Gordon or as First Minister by juggling all three roles is beyond comprehension.

Surely it is time for the so-called opposition parties to back his independence referendum in order to finish the inept SNP off for good.
There has never been a majority for independence in Scotland and with the failing of this poor Scottish executive to get to grasps with running the country if a referendum was held the SNP would undoubtly lose and would cease to have any reason to exist as a political party…ahh that’s why they are in no hurry to hold a referendum, all aboard the gravy train, next stop Holyrood change for Westminster and Brussels!

Public services-very public with little service!

February 24, 2009

On Sunday three members of the Scottish office deciding to save money and test out Mega-bus, leaving from Aberdeen to Glasgow and back to attend EU candidate selection.
What follows is a true account of the joys of public transport that awaits any unsuspecting traveler in 21st century Britain.

Arrive at Aberdeen’s new bus station at 0900, first dodge the vomit splashes on the pavement then wade through litter pass the gentleman urinating up the wall.
Go to the toilet before embarking on a three hour journey, find toilets locked because they “don’t open on Sunday mate try the train station”, cross to station, toilets don’t open until 0915 with only five mins to go the east European trained guards/toilet attendants point at sign and refuse to open early preferring to stand and blankly stare out the window until the allotted time arrives.
Go to toilet, on way out ask how the gate works, this seems to provoke our foreign friends into a frenzy as one shouts “press button press button” then mutters something in Polish!

Board the bus and proceed to Glasgow with an empty bottle wrestling for space with the crisp packets under my seat and the occasional waft of sewage from the toilet to help pass the time.

Arrive at Glasgow, on leaving bus Roy lights up a cigarette and the anti-smoking police swoop again ranting and raving for this breach of the peace in an open area polluted with exhaust fumes and orders us out!

Find the venue, after trying to find an English speaking person to ask directions first.

After an enjoyable time at the selection and after in a very impressive pub that use to be a bank, might see a few more like that soon, we set off for the return journey.

Standing in queue we are advised by yet another charm school failure that we are at the wrong end and herded like sheep into place, then when producing tickets informed that they have been cancelled so we cant get on the bus!

Now remember these were return tickets and we had already traveled one way using them, the ticket office look at computer and confirm that they have been cancelled, pleas for common sense falls on deaf ears, as one of our party had pulled out we cancelled his ticket but are told you cant cancel one so the computer cancelled all of them!

We are advised to book new tickets on line to save money and pointed in the direction of the stations cyber-cafe, where we find, yes you guessed it, the computers were not working!

New tickets would have to be bought at twice the price we had already paid.

We catch the bus an hour and half later, every seat is taken and we are sitting upstairs at the very front ready to relax and enjoy the ride home.

But fate hasn’t finished with us yet, as the bus picks up speed a high pitch whistling and cold draft emits from the windscreen and yet more empty bottles rolling to the front of the bus every time it brakes batter my feet!

On stopping in Dundee we are amazed to see we have been transported to the third world, anyone in doubt that we will soon be a minority in our own country should experience this stop at 2030hrs.

Arrive back in Aberdeen thirteen hours after we left, just to round the day off the bus back to my hometown is being driven by a gentleman with a limited grasp on English and even less of a grasp on the meaning of speed limit.

No need to say we will not be using this service again, every employee we spoke to was rude, indifferent or didn’t understand English. What went wrong? How have we ended up in this state? What is the answer? Please leave a comment on your thoughts.

South Ayrshire Council Issues Death Warrant To Rescued Animals

February 22, 2009

Welsh Pony
South Ayrshire Council has issued many animals a death sentence after it axed Pets’ Corners funding – despite owning and running it for 70 years.

The animal park has delighted everyone who has visited it over the last decades, yet many animals will have to be put to sleep if alternative homes aren’t found by 1st April.

The many animals at the sanctuary include a welsh pony named Ickle.

Ickle was rescued nine years ago and cannot be ridden. As a result of this, Ickle will be forced to be sent to a horse market where he will be slaughtered for meat.

Barnie the donkey is also a resident at Pets’ Corner and at 37 is too old to move, so he will have to be put to sleep.

Other animals at the park include Velma, a 14-year-old sheep, 33 rabbits, ten button quail, red firetail finches Fudge and Fidget, two Patagonian parrots, 14 Java doves and Perci, the lone love bird.

Animal parks around the country are bursting at the seams so it is unknown what will happen to the sheep, deer, pigs and rabbit residents.

The council tried to pull its funding last year but granted a stay of execution, giving the sanctuary a year to come up with a business plan, after a public uproar.

The plan involved extra land for a new educational centre, but shortly before the plan was to be submitted, the council said it could not give up the land.

More than 7,000 people signed an initial petition to keep Pets’ Corner open, and Friends of Pets’ Corner gained charitable status in October.
The group asked for £50,000 in November but insisted it was for one year only and was merely a starting point for negotiations

Henry Pimentel, the chairman of Friends of Pets’ Corner, said they had raised £33,000 in donations and £162,000 in kind from companies willing to redevelop the park and add an education centre. But there was little hope of a reprieve.

He said: “I think this is it. I’m very disappointed. It is such a beautiful park and I’m sad for the community and sad for the animals. If the council had even given us £20,000, Pets’ Corner could stay open”.

“My understanding from the veterinarian who has been taking care of the animals for many years is that about a quarter of the animals are too old to move and will have to be put down. Up to a half of all the
animals could be put down if they don’t find homes for them.”

South Ayrshire Council said it was seeking suitable alternative homes or all animals, and that the closure decision had nothing to do with the economic crisis.

Mr Pimentel said it would cost the council more to rehome all the animals than the £20,000 a year it aimed to save by axing the park.

Hugh Hunter, council leader, said, “The decision taken in February2008 to close Pets’ Corner was not an easy one and we agreed to a six-month delay in closure to give local Rotarians an opportunity to form a trust and submit a sustainable business plan to us.

He continued, “At the request of the Friends of Pets’ Corner Trust, we then agreed to a further six-month delay to give them the opportunity to finalise their business plan. The submitted business plan was assessed by our finance department and was not considered sustainable.”

8/*9/Yet previously the council stated that “it could not give up the land” shortly before the plan was to be submitted.

On the South Ayrshire website, the council news budget for 2009/09 clearly shows that the Planning Department has to spend £292,000 to strengthen the planning section and recruit more staff to support economic growth.

What economic growth? We are in the midst of a recession!

It is obvious that councils would prefer to spend taxpayers’ money on translating posters and leaflets, visiting other countries for the “Homecoming” event, recruiting more staff and achieving general reserves of £1.5 million towards the previously agreed target of £2 million on their financial reserves than actually maintaining their commitment to these poor animals who many of them will have to be put to sleep because the council don’t want the burden any more.

I thought Britain was a nation of animal lovers? Well it seems South Ayrshire Council isn’t!

Muslim Families With “Multiple Wives” Claiming Millions In Benefits

February 22, 2009

muslim-polygamy1
Up to 1,000 Muslim men with “multiple wives” are believed to be claiming millions in benefits yet Government ministers have decided not to force through legislation as it would be too POLITICALLY SENSITIVE!

The Independent on Sunday obtained documents revealing that ministers from four departments ordered a review of the million of pounds these families were receiving in benefits – paid for by the taxpayer.

Yet the Government DECIDED AGAINST changing the status as it could contravene “human rights legislation”.

But Government officials have assured that the benefits system ensured that there was “no financial advantage to claiming for those in polygamous marriages”.

Four departments embarked on the review in 2006 following a parliamentary question on the benefits payable to polygamous families.

Ministers were told that, before 1988, benefit was paid to anyone who could establish they were in polygamous relationships, but “this was narrowed to polygamous marriage following press interest in people in hippie communes living off the state”.

Britain recognises polygamous marriages from countries where such unions are legal, although a man is prevented from bringing another wife into this country if a woman is already living as his wife in the UK but does not collect data on the number of people in a valid polygamous marriage claiming a social security benefit.

Obviously our laws do not apply to Muslims as seen by the extremely lenient punishment given to Mohammed Anwar in April 2008 when he was caught driving at 64mph in a 30mph zone in Glasgow, fast enough to qualify for instant disqualification.

The reason he could not afford to lose his license was that a ban would make it difficult to commute between his TWO wives and fulfil his matrimonial duties.

Mr Anwar has one wife in Motherwell and another in Glasgow – he is allowed up to four under his religion – AND SLEEPS WITH THEM ON ALTERNATE NIGHTS!

Even though Mohammed Anwar admitted the offence, Sheriff John C. Morris accepted his plea not to be banned and allowed him to keep his licence. Instead, he was fined £200 and given six penalty points.

Bigamy is a serious criminal offence in Scotland and was stamped out the 18th century, and it is clear the authorities are turning a blind eye to this unacceptable practice.

The maximum sentence for bigamy is seven years and with the large population of Muslims in this country – and that they are allowed up to four wives – surely there must be more than a few with “multiple wives”.

£21,000 Spent on Translating Services for the NHS In Lothian

February 21, 2009

nhs-lothian
Taxpayers will be happy to hear that their money is being used to benefit the residents in Lothian with multiculturalism!

More than £20,000 was spent by the NHS in Lothian last year on translating leaflets and posters into 23 foreign languages.

As more and more nationalities move to the area, the costs have risen year-on-year.

Last year £15,000 was spent on translation services.

The Evening News in Edinburgh released the statistics through the freedom of Information Act.

The most translated documents were Polish which cost the taxpayer £8000 in 2007-08.

Other languages cost more than £1000 including Spanish, French, Chinese and German.

Portuguese documents cost £23 and both Hindi and Bengali, £46 each.

New languages that have arisen last year were Vietnamese, Greek, Farsi and Latvian.

The £21,353 spent last year also includes tapes, Braille and large-print documents.

Derailing the gravy train

February 19, 2009

It would seem that the establishment here in Scotland are as worried as their comrades down south at the rise of the BNP.
Of course they can’t bring themselves to name us preferring to use the ridiculous ‘extremist’ tag instead.
Talking with Cardinal Keith O’Brien, head of the Catholic Church in Scotland, Rabbi Rubin, the senior rabbi in Scotland and the Rev David Lunan, Moderator of the General assembly of the Church of Scotland at the launch of a initiative to encourage people to vote on June 4th Scottish secretary, Jim Murphy, stated that extremist parties could capitalise on voter disillusionment at the Euro elections.
The initiative also has the support of Mohammed kausar, general secretary of Glasgow central mosque.
Maybe these gentlemen should look into why people are suffering disillusionment with the mainstream parties.
With regulatory bodies, guanos, local councillors, MSP’s, MP’s, MEP’s and the House of Lords everything should run smoothly, so why are we in the mess that now prevails?
Perhaps it is that the greater their number the less effective politicians become. Perhaps it is that they have more interest in feathering their own nests than in the good of the electorate.
We have reached the stage where the poor support the rich, the good support the bad, the thrifty support the profligate and the politicians support themselves.
We are told education is better, but why then are there so many illiterate and innumerate?
Health is better, if you live in the right postcode area.
Crime is down, if you believe the statistics by suspending reality.
We now own the banks, but they are ‘skint’ and we the ordinary citizens will be paying for all this for a very long time.
People are not turning to the BNP because of any ‘extremist’ views but because we are the only alternative to the failed mainstream parties, the only party that has the commonsense policies to save our country. People like Jim Murphy know it and that is what they really fear, the new kids on the block derailing their gravy train!

2 Months For Flushing Heroin Dealers Supply Away

February 18, 2009

heroin
In yet another case of the insanity of the Judicial system, Peter Drummond was jailed for 2 months for FLUSHING A HEROIN DEALERS STASH DOWN THE TOILET after he discovered that the dealer had been supplying his brother-in-law with the evil drug!

Mr Drummond, 26, went round to the home of heroin dealer, John Nellies, and confronted him about the misery that he inflicts on families, including his own family due to his brother-in-laws addiction.

And to stop the peddler of evil dealing his wares, he flushed five bags of heroin down the toilet.

But after one of Nellies’ desperate addicts reported the incident to the police, it was Drummond – not the heroin dealer – who wound up in court.

The father-of-three shook his head as the verdict was read out at the Sheriff Court in Perth.

Mr Drummond admitted breaching the peace at the home of Nellie’s home in Blairgowrie, Scotland, and that his family had been “put through hell” by his brother-in-law’s addiction.

He told the BBC: “Over the last six or seven months my whole family has been in hell.

“My brother-in-law is on smack and he is getting it from the people there”.

“It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. I shouldn’t have done it but these people are ruining my family by supplying heroin”.

“It is causing a family crisis and everyone is going through hell. Things have been so bad that I lost it and decided to try and stop the drug dealing going on”.

“I know I have done wrong. I’m sorry. I know I went about things the wrong way, but things just got on top of me”.

Mr Drummond’s solicitor, Steve Lafferty, asked that, due to the “quite unusual” circumstances of the case, his client’s punishment be reduced to a fine.

Sheriff Robert McCreadie DENIED THE REDUCTION IN PUNISHMENT and told Mr Drummond that he should have “contacted the police”.

Thomas Brown, a family friend, told the BBC outside the court “Jailing him for what he did is ridiculous. It is a ludicrous decision.

“Heroin is killing the community and I know for a fact that it has been tearing Peter’s family apart”.

“He shouldn’t have done what he did, but at the same time he was only trying to help his sister”.

“I think what happened today is outrageous”.

Police are yet to decide whether to charge dealer John Nellies with drug offences.

The scourge of the community is still free to peddle his misery to all and sundry whilst a family man is sent to prison for flushing 5 bags of heroin down the toilet! And the Police are yet to decide whether to charge the dealer with drug offences? What happened to justice in the judicial system? Well maybe the next story says it all!

In 2007, the same BUNGLING sheriff halted court proceedings after he hit the wrong button on his laptop and deleted details of the case he was dealing with.

Sheriff Robert McCreadie abruptly stopped a solicitor as she gave her client’s plea and left the bench without any explanation.

After several minutes, he came back into court and said his typing error meant he had erased everything that lawyer Rosie Scott had told him about defendant David Dutchyn.

But instead of apologising, Sheriff McCreadie blamed Ms Scott for talking too fast.

He told her: “Because of the speed you were going at and the speed I was going at, a wrong key had been pressed.

“I wish you to start again, because I have lost the whole of what you said.”

Most Sheriffs’ write notes during cases, but Sheriff McCreadie insists on using a laptop. And this wasn’t the first time the sheriff and his laptop have brought proceedings at Perth Sheriff Court to a halt.

Once, he sent a jury home for the day because his computer crashed.

On another occasion, he left the bench before returning to tell a solicitor that the W on his keyboard was not working.

He interrupted another case to tell the court that the E on the keyboard was broken.

In August 2006, the Sheriff sent a man to jail before hearing about the full circumstances of his crime.

Yes, it seems Sheriff McCreadie is more interested in his status and his beloved laptop rather than administering a true judgement on evidence in the court proceedings.

Woman raped in Edinburgh

February 17, 2009

A young 24 year old woman has been raped during a seven hour ordeal after being pulled off the street at 3pm by two men in Edinburgh.
The young woman was attacked as she walked through a subway in the Dalry area. The two attackers sprayed her in the face with a noxious substance and pulled her into nearby undergrowth.
The prolonged and vicious sexual assault began as the woman walked north through the telfer subway said police, a spokeswoman added “This young woman has been subjected to a terrifying ordeal at the hands of these two men – the trauma she has experienced cannot be underestimated”.
The suspects are described as white Eastern Europeans in their 20s.
One is about 6ft, medium build, with a dark shaved head. He wore a blue raincoat with ‘New Zealand’ on it.
The other attacker is shorter, with short blonde hair. He wore a black waterproof jacket with knitted sleeves.
It is worth adding this young woman would have been spared this assault if it wasn’t for the open door policy of the Lib/Lab/Con/Snp.
We would urge people that have any information to contact the police as this pair cannot be allowed to strike again.

Argyle Street Day of Action 14-2-09

February 16, 2009

glasgow-meet
ST. VALENTINE’S DAY MANTICORES

After holding a well-attended meeting on Thursday 11th regular activists from Glasgow and West of Scotland BNP carried out a highly successful afternoon’s work in Argyle Street on the 14th, one of the main pedestrianised shopping thoroughfares in the centre of Glasgow. The primary purpose of this operation was to raise awareness of our Party and its profile, to draw attention to ourselves as the “human face” of the BNP and to electioneer for the forthcoming Euro Elections in June.

Our regular acquaintances on the far Left who love to hate us put on a wonderful St. Valentine’s Day reception when they finally tracked us down, complete with a home-made banner painstakingly crafted, by children it was assumed, for our benefit. One could not have asked for a more touching compliment and it brought tears to our eyes. It was just a pity that the police did not appreciate it and it was confiscated and ripped apart. At least two Leftists were cuffed and dragged off by the police at the same time.

All the effort and manpower the left could muster against a mere three of us served our purposes admirably and we soon had a large crowd of curious members of the public around us, many of who stood by us in solidarity and courageously pushed their way through the crowds in order to take our papers. Additionally, these brave people made generous donations that were all the more remarkable under the circumstances.

Use of a megaphone proved effective and while one of the usual ugly old harridans of the Left proceeded to bore everyone with a dull whinge, our man put across a very positive message of optimism, letting the public know that we will be standing a full complement of candidates at the Euro Elections and that we are the fastest growing political party in Britain. This technique works particularly well in Argyle Street where one can stand on granite bollards approximately 2 feet high and prominently address the masses.

Having used up all our literature over a period of some 2 hours we decided to depart. Our objective had been achieved and a well-earned beer was in order. It was agreed that we should return to Argyle Street as soon as possible to keep the momentum going.

Alistair Darling Enjoys £70,000 From Taxpayer Whilst The Government Complains There Is No Money

February 15, 2009

alistair_darling

A News of the World investigation has revealed Alistair Darling used almost £70,000 of taxpayer’s money on his second home – which is an EDINBURGH MANSION – even though he lives for FREE in Downing Street! And all this without breaking the rules!

“Before becoming Chancellor of the Exchequer in 2007 and moving into Downing Street, Mr Darling lodged with Labour Lord Lewis Moonie in a flat in south London.

Mr Darling, 55, lived at the understated £260,000 property in Lambeth from around 2003 until January 2005.

Ex-Defence Minister Lord Moonie — one of four peers who allegedly said they were prepared to accept cash to help change laws — had originally bought it from Prime Minister Gordon Brown in June 1992 for £84,000.

House of Commons rules required all ministers to designate their London homes as their main residence up until 2004, when they were told to list their ‘main home’.

Mr Darling continued to tell authorities he classed the room in the pokey flat as his main residence. He did the same after moving to another pal’s flat in January 2005 — listing the room he rented as his main address.
In contrast, he designated his Edinburgh mansion — a property he bought jointly with his wife Maggie on December 31, 1998, for £570,000 — as his ‘second home’.

The large imposing building in the heart of one the city’s most desirable areas is now estimated to be worth £1.2million.
Mr Darling and his wife — who have a son and daughter who went to school in Edinburgh — still own the property and both are listed on the electoral roll from 2000 up to the present day.

Between 2001 and early 2004 — when he had no choice but declare Edinburgh as his ‘second home’ — he claimed a total of £45,954 to spend on the family home.
But then after the rule change, still naming the room in Lord Moonie’s home as his ‘main residence’, he claimed a further £15,341 in the year 04/05 to spend on his Scottish home.

The next financial year, 05/06, he claimed a further £19,436 in second home allowance.
The first five months of this yearly sum again went to Edinburgh, before he finally changed his designation — classing the mansion as his main home from September 2005.

It means the total claimed for his family home — during his time designating the room shares as his main home — is estimated at almost £25,000 in less than two years.

The total over the five years tops £70,000.

The News of the world’s evidence shows how designating which home is your ‘main’ and ‘second’ residence can allow MPs to claim higher sums in expenses.
If Mr Darling had designated his Edinburgh family home as his main residence, he would only have been able to claim the potentially lucrative second home allowance for the rooms he rented in London.

This could have limited him to claiming only for rent, and the share of any bills.
The typical market rate for a room in a flat in Lambeth was around £150-a-week or £7,800-a-year when he lived with Lord Moonie. But during that time he was able to claim £15,341 for Edinburgh.

Mr Darling’s spokesman refused to reveal where his second flat share — between January 2005 and September 2005 — was, but said the arrangements were “similar”.

However, the generous second home allowance — currently set at a tax-free £24,006 a year — can provide much bigger claims on larger, family properties.
They include the interest on any mortgage repayments, including mortgage interest payments increases on extra loans to pay for improvements or extensions.
They also include utility charges for heat, light and water, council tax, phone bills, maintenance and decoration.

And the allowance pays for “furnishings,” including white goods, electrical equipment and “other furnishings” in accordance with the controversial ‘John Lewis List’.
This list includes a £6,335 allowance for the installation of a new bathroom, a £10,000 kitchen, and £2,000 for a furniture suite.

Incredibly, Mr Darling’s actions did NOT breach any Commons rules on claims, and were all perfectly above board.

Even now, despite living rent-free in Downing Street, the expenses system lets him claim an allowance for a second home — which he has once again assigned to his Edinburgh mansion.

Expenses claims for 2007/08 and this current financial year are yet to be published.

The current Green Book on Parliamentary Salaries, Allowances and Pensions — which sets out how allowances can be claimed — says: “If you have more than one home, your main home will normally be the one where you spend more nights than any other.”

Mr Darling’s spokesman refused to say how many nights a week the Chancellor spent in London.

The Green Book describes the Additional Costs Allowance (ACA) as reimbursing “Members of Parliament for expenses wholly, exclusively and necessarily incurred when staying overnight away from their main UK residence (referred to below as their main home) for the purpose of performing Parliamentary duties.”
It adds: “You must ensure that arrangements for your ACA claims are above reproach and that there can be no grounds for a suggestion of misuse of public money.
“Members should bear in mind the need to obtain value for money from accommodation, goods or services funded from the allowances.
“You must avoid any arrangement which may give rise to an accusation that you are, or someone close to you is, obtaining an immediate benefit or subsidy from public funds.”

Last month Lord Moonie came under fire after being caught — along with three others — in a newspaper sting operation branded a “cash for influence” scandal.

He allegedly offered to assist by identifying people who could put down an amendment in return for a £30,000 annual consultancy fee.

In addition to his flat in Downing Street, Mr Darling has access to the 21-bedroom country retreat of Dorneywood in Buckinghamshire. He also co-owns a family retreat — a croft on the remote Scottish island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.

The News of the World’s probe is yet another example of how ministers and MPs are permitted to use the generous system to ensure they can pocket the most from the public allowances.

Last night his spokesman said: “At all times Mr Darling has abided by House of Commons rules.”

It follows revelations last week that that Home Secretary Jacqui Smith claimed £116,000 to spend on her family home in Redditch — claiming her ‘main residence’ was a room in her sister’s London home.

And it once again shows why the House of Commons’ barmy expenses culture needs a radical overhaul. “

Access To Learning Groups In Dundee For ‘Asian And Ethnic Minorities’ only

February 14, 2009

accesstolearning

Readers in Dundee who are paying in to the council tax will be happy to learn that funds that could be used on improving the city for all is being used to provide exclusive Asian parent and child groups.

The bizarrely named ‘Access to learning’ groups which are provided free of charge, are held Monday to Friday at various locations throughout the city. They are provided exclusively for Asian and Ethnic minorities. On top of the 5 day a week groups, there is also a home visiting service available. The groups provide English classes, alternative therapies such as massage and reiki, cooking and art classes as well as day trips.

The website boasts a free computer course for those from the minority ethnic community and provides a Punjabi/Urdu teacher.
Dundee City Council were contacted to see if there are any groups or courses available exclusively for British families.

It will come as no surprise that the council insisted all of its courses and community projects are open to all (this poster seems to suggest otherwise). They went on to confirm that there were no groups or courses available exclusively for British people.

‘Monster’ who murdered Jolanta had killed before

February 14, 2009

The man who killed Jolanta Bledaite and threw her dismembered body into the sea in plastic bags was convicted of stabbing a man to death less than eight years ago, it was revealed yesterday.
Vitas Plytnykas, 41, was convicted of manslaughter in Germany in 2001 after stabbing a man and throwing him in a river.
The Lithuanian was sentenced to seven years and six months but after his release came to Scotland – as an EU citizen he was free to move to any member state
The killer’s accomplice, Aleksandras Skirda, 20, also from Lithuania, pleaded guilty to murder last October and testified against him.
They killed the 35-year-old at her flat in Earlsden House, Brechin, then chopped her up and dumped the body parts in the sea at Arbroath.
The victim’s head and hands were found washed up on the town’s beach by two young girls..
Following Plytnykas’s conviction for murder yesterday, Tory justice spokesman Bill Aitken MSP called for a tightening of immigration rules.
Surely it was his party that took us in to the EU in the first place. There is only one party that would ‘tighten immigration laws’ only one party that would withdraw from the EU, and only one party that would ensure that Plytnykas would hang for his crime, the BNP.

SNP, one trick pony

February 13, 2009

After ditching local income tax, which was one of the SNP’s high profile, policy’s now is the time for them to ditch the independence referendum and face facts.
Most Scots and their MSP’s were against this tax so it had to go. Most Scots and their MSP’s do not back, never have backed and certainly never will back the break up of the UK.
Sadly home rule is the only policy the SNP will never drop. It is after all the party’s reason for being and the prime reason every single one of its members joined the Nats in the first place.
In a period of economic recession when many people are losing their jobs and are more than a little worried about the country’s future the continuing fascination with independence is a measure of how fanatical the SNP cause is.
This so called Government is quite clearly concentrating more of its efforts on trying to win any future referendum than on aiding the economy.
Salmond has had no meeting in recent weeks with Gordon Brown to discuss the economic future of the UK, nor has John Swinney met Alistair Darling, instead they are gearing up for a major campaign for the independence referendum.
And when this last remaining policy is thrown out can we expect the SNP to stand down or will they simply morph in to nu-tartan-labour and cling desperately to the wreckage of their administration.

Muslim Dolls Coming To Asda Near You

February 13, 2009

ASDA are launching an extensive range of ethnic goods including Yousuf and Aamina – talking Muslim dolls!
The dolls are 18 inches high and say ‘essential’ Islamic words, phrases and prayers with the Arabic sentences translated into English.
The male doll, Yousuf, comes wearing a mosque cap and the female doll says “my name is Aamina and I am a Muslim”.
The founder of the company, Mrs Rahman, said that her research showed that the wife of Mohammed had played with dolls and will help children have more fun learning Arabic phrases at home.
ASDA are hoping to dominate the ethnic market with the dolls being sold in Bradford initially then rolled out in all stores across the U.K.
Other goods launched in the new ethnic range include West Indian hair care products, Polish mother day cards, and Indian fashion magazines.
And the George clothing range will include saris, salwa kameez suits, jewellery and shawls.
ASDA are increasing its range of ethnic goods after it saw a significant sales increase last year after its range of Eastern European food was up 90%.
Strangely enough, the phrases “death to the Kaffir” and “down with the west” are not included.
