Education, Education, Education! (But For Whom?)
March 31, 2009Universities are not happy that the government have knocked back “academic institutions” as up to 25% of them are bogus.
Universities, independent schools and colleges must apply for a license to teach new students.
The government have a screening process which academic institutions have to satisfy, which includes a visit by a UK Border Agency (UKBA) officer as part of the vetting process to root out the fake institutions.
In the past year, 2,100 universities, independent schools and colleges registered online on an official website with 460 applications rejected.
There will also be measures introduced which will allow Foreign students will be able to work in Britain for an extra year before being sent home to give foreign students more time to work here legally before going home.
In the past 5 years, 1.6 Million student visas were handed out and they can stay for up to a year after they finish studying. Now it will be “upgraded” to 2 years.
Of course these rules only apply to students from OUTSIDE Europe. And they have to prove that they have the money, qualifications and a sponsorship from a licensed institution to study in the U.K.
Earlier this year it emerged that immigration officers had been ordered to stop deporting foreign students who overstay their visas.
A leaked memo suggested they are not regarded as a high enough priority.
Hundreds of thousands of students, including many who never intended to study in Britain, could be staying illegally. They are effectively being granted an amnesty.
As we have known for a long time, bogus colleges are used as fronts to allow illegal immigrants to enter the country.
Since Labour has been elected there has been an explosion of sham “colleges” which have allowed foreigners to live and work here.
A UKBA spokesperson said: “The new student tier of the Points Based System allows us to weed out those people who just want to use a sham college course as a front for illegal working – as well as the dodgy institutions that let them do just that.
“Everyone who comes here must play by the rules and that includes foreign students wanting to take advantage of our world-class universities and colleges.
“So far around 2,000 universities and colleges have applied to join the new sponsorship register which will allow them to bring foreign students into Britain to study. Around 500 applications from colleges and universities haven’t made it through our screening process and onto the list of approved institutions.”
Education for our own native peoples should be a top priority instead of inviting foreign students in to disappear into cities, working illegally. The amount of students graduating who will be unemployed is astounding and with the millions of unemployed – and the figure still growing – what will those foreign students do for 2 years with no job?
Yep, that’s right! Enjoying the U.K lifestyle thanks to you, the taxpayer!

BNP Scotland lead candidate Gary Raikes was out and about the coastal towns of the Northeast today helping to hand out the new “say no to Europe” leaflets.
five speakers. First up was northeast organiser Roy Jones who discussed the absurdities of political correctness. He was followed by Glasgow and West organiser Charlie Baillie who gave an interesting history of the Union and the danger of a separatist SNP agenda.

Lord Mandelson, (aka Slimer), (aka Prince of Darkness), (aka Mandy), Business Secretary, claimed that Brits were either “not available or unwilling” to fill job vacancies and that the influx of migrant workers has caused no “adverse” effect on our jobs market.
