BNP SCOTLAND BEST EVER RESULT

boxThe highest numerical vote ever achieved by the British National Party, Scotland-wide – 27,174 – and on a reduced turnout!

The highest percentage of the vote ever achieved by the British National Party, Scotland-wide – 2.46%.

For the first time ever, the BNP comes 7th in the Scottish popular vote – and that’s only after the 6 parties which already have EU parliamentary representation.

And there’s more!

For the first time ever, we come above all – that’s every single one – of the hard left factions!

If anyone had said all of this was possible for our party 5 years ago, no one would have believed them, but it happened yesterday!

That is a huge achievement – delivered, we have to say, by only a minority of activists working their socks off. Thank you to all these people, and thank you to those who couldn’t engage in activism but who supported the party with their wallets.

So let’s look at the vote in a little more detail – after the other 6:

British National Party 27,174 2.46%
Socialist Labour Party 22,135 2.00%
Christian Party – Christian Peoples Alliance 16,738 1.52%
Scottish Socialist Party 10,404 0.94%
Independent – Duncan Robertson 10,189 0.92%
No2EU 9,693 0.88%
Jury Team 6,257 0.57%

As above, we trumped Arthur Scargill’s pet so-called “Socialist Labour Party”, and we absolutely blew the Scottish Socialist Party out the water. We got over 2 and a half times its vote! It got less than 1% of the Scottish vote!

We also blew the risible “No2EU” – the Bob Crow/Tommy Sheridan vanity act, out the water. We got almost 3 times its vote, vapourising them into oblivion! Tommy even got toasted by the Independent candidate, and he came second last, just pipping the novelty act, Jury Team, into last place. Ouch, that was a close run thing, Tommy!

Our vote in Scotland increased by 0.8%, only half a percent less than the average rise for the Party throughout the rest of Britain of 1.3%.

But here’s more good news icing on the cake.

Not only did we beat every single hard left party not only throughout Scotland, but we also beat them in Glasgow – Glasgow, the centre of Scottish hard left support – by huge margins, and as a result of the amazing activism of our Glasgow people.

Overall in Glasgow:
BNP 3,258 (3.23%)
Socialist Labour Party 3,080 (3.06%)
Scottish Socialist Party 1,731 (1.72%)
No2EU 1,577 (1.57%)

Charlie Baillie, one of our Glasgow organiser’s said, “The Glasgow result indicates clearly that the British National Party has established itself in this city as a credible alternative. We’re here to stay and looking forward to the next Westminster election, the next Holyrood election, and the Council elections after that! For example, in Speaker Martin’s constituency of Glasgow North East, we received an amazing 4.3%. We also got the same percentage in the constituency of the South West of Glasgow, and 4% in Glasgow East. Amazing results! Thanks to everyone who helped us!”

Other good results in Local Authority areas include Falkirk (3.8%), North Lanarkshire (3.6%), West Lothian (3.3%) and North Ayrshire (3.1%).

These results show that the future is looking very bright.

With the increased publicity and mainstream credibility which our two wonderful MEPs – Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons – will deliver, and with a database of over 1,000 Scottish enquirers waiting to be organised, and considering the vast untapped potential waiting to be mined, the outlook for Scotland is exciting.

So, BNP Scotland: We got the highest numerical vote ever, the highest percentage ever, and for the first time we came in the top 7 places, only following after those parties which already have EU parliamentary representation. And oh yes, we blew all the left wing parties completely out the water and we’ve ended the European Election with the same number of MEPs in the European Parliament as the SNP.

Ladies and gentlemen, a very good result! Westminster 2010, Holyrood 2011, Local Authority elections 2012 – look out!
