First billboard goes up

March 18, 2010

AbdnBB1
The British National Party in Scotland has made yet another breakthrough for the party with the launch of its first ever billboard campaign, reports Scottish party leader Gary Raikes.
AbdnBB
“The first billboard has gone up in Aberdeen to support our candidate Susan Ross,” said Mr Raikes.

“This is hot on the heels of our Truth Truck tour which has helped to bring home the BNP’s message to the people of North East Scotland,” he said.

Mr Raikes said two more billboards were planned, one in Gordon and another in Banff Buchan, in support of BNP candidates Elise Jones and Richard Payne respectively.

Final day of the Scottish tour

March 17, 2010

100_2159
Scottish leader Gary Raikes set off early with Barry Scott to meet up with our Lothians team for the final day of the tour.

After nearly getting blown off the Forth Bridge the team made an extensive tour of Edinburgh city centre before joining up with Lothians activists outside the Scottish Parliament. With in 30 seconds a security guard appeared to move them on but not before asking for a handful of leaflets to take away.

Livingston was next on the list where the truck visited the entire town, trading estates shopping areas and housing estates were all urged to vote Davie Orr in the coming election.
100_2168
As four sub-regional organisers were present it was a chance for all to take away boxes of leaflets and armfuls of newspapers to keep on spreading the word.

Gary and Barry drove through the night to return the truck to Nuneaton. After a welcomed cup of coffee from the BNP’s Tom Gower and a hand over to dispatch manager Alwyn Deacon the duo made the long trek back to Gods own country, tired but pleased with the success of the recent tour.

Thanks go to Barry (who has spent everyday with the truck), Roy, Elise, Stevie, Richard, David, Mike, Mark, Darren and Hammy.

Day four in the rain

March 17, 2010

100_2145
Rain and wind could not deter the truth truck from venturing out on Sunday. The team were joined by PPC Richard Payne who reported a fantastic reception as the truck made its way through Banff and Buchan into Gordon and onto Aberdeen for one last push in the North east region.100_2149

Crackers MacAskgill and co strike again

March 15, 2010

Maggie-Atkinson-002_319x191_9818a4f0595cce2a20f4ce5caeadef3a
MAGGIE ATKINSON, a doctor no less so should know better, and the recently appointed “Children’s Commissioner” has described the killing of Jamie Bulger as ‘unpleasant’.
Unpleasant, they led a 2-year old away from his mother to a railway line then caved his head in with bricks before leaving him for dead.
Dr Atkinson says that Jon Venables and Robert Thompson were too young to know it was wrong.
Here in Scotland the age of criminal consent is currently 8 years but Kenny MacAskgill, of Lockerbie Bomber shame, has proposed it be raised to 12 years.
So here in Scotland the Bulger killers would not have come to trial or the more recent case from Yorkshire involving children.
Do we really believe that children do not know right and wrong until aged 12 or are they trying to manipulate the crime figures?
This is the state, again, trying to take personal responsibility from people.
I don’t know at what age people begin to know right from wrong but I am sure its way before 12 and by that age they are old enough to work a system that allows them to commit all sorts of acts of crime and anti-social behavior. They could even be used by older people to commit acts and so get away with it.
Find out if your MSP is supporting this bill and let them know your opinions……there is an election coming.

Day three on tour in Gordon

March 14, 2010

Saturday saw the ‘Truth Truck’ off into the Gordon constituency in support of our candidate Elise Jones.
Elise
The husband and wife team of Roy and Elise Jones joined North east organiser Barry Scott who took on microphone duty for the day touring the region.
truth truck 1 005
Being a Saturday the main town centers were crowded helping to get our message to even more people.

Tomorrow Banff and Buchan candidate Richard Payne will be joining the team as the good work continues, a full report coming soon.

Day two on tour

March 12, 2010

truth2 008
Day two saw the team in the Banff and Buchan constituency to aid Richard Payne’s campaign using the slogan ” Don’t be insane, vote for Richard Payne” accompanied by the swirl of the bagpipes.

Two of the areas main fishing ports gave the ‘Truth Truck’ a real warm welcome’ support here outnumbering anything we have seen so far.
truth2 001
After being waved down by bin men keen to get their hands on leaflets for themselves and work mates the team stopped for a tea break and were relieved of a number of papers by someone whose girl friend had seen us out in Aberdeen the day before, the word seems to be spreading, the BNP have arrived!

More reports over the weekend.

Scottish tour starts

March 11, 2010

truth truck 1 002
Thanks to a 24 hour round trip undertaken by Barry Scott and Roy Jones the BNP ‘Truth Truck’ arrived in the North east of Scotland early Thursday morning. After a quick hand over to Scottish leader Gary Raikes the truck was off on the first leg of its Scottish tour.
truth truck 1 001
Aberdeen was visited first followed by a trip up Royal Deeside through towns in the constituency. The loudspeaker was more than ably manned by Steve Thompson whose non stop patter made sure our message was clearly put across to the public. The team were pleased to see that the support including thumbs up, flashing lights and even people clapping out matched the handful of obscene gestures from the ill informed few.
truth truck 1 004
In one day BNP Scotland reached more people than weeks of leafleting would of done. The tour continues through out next week as the team visit all the constituencies we are contesting in the coming election.

Never before have so few bought the message to so many.

Lothians report

March 9, 2010

BNP9
Lothians sub-regional organiser David Orr was more than happy with his last meeting which was called to discuss future activities, including starting this Thursday to leaflet Livingston in the run up to the election.

One member along with his partner traveled from Fife to attend the meeting, also in attendance were two people waiting to join as soon as the ban is lifted.

Mr Orr told the news team “I would like to mention Mark McGarry, he is 19 years old and went out by himself last week posted 60 ‘Voice of Freedoms’ and over a 100 leaflets. Mark has also arranged for a local pakistani shopkeeper to sell our ‘Voice of Freedom’, amazing!! Mark cares for his mum full-time, he is a shy chap and refuses any recognition but is a great activist, I look forward to hearing what he has been up to at the next meeting”.

Lothians BNP will be meeting again on Thursday 18th contact David Orr or Mike Coyle for details

Glasgow meeting report

March 4, 2010

imagesthistle2
Glasgow BNP met on Wednesday evening at the usual Glasgow City Centre venue. Thirty patriot members attended the meeting and the atmosphere was friendly with everyone feeling a real sense of unity and agreeing that we are fighting for one common purpose. The meeting was treated to a talk by a local member who has a wealth of knowledge on any subject and is a very entertaining speaker. he spoke about the real dangers we, the British people, face with the Islamification of Europe and the treacherous left wing politicians and media.

The latter part of the evening was dedicated to open discussion as this gives everyone a chance to air their views and feel as though they are contributing to the meeting. A new member has offered to write articles for the website and someone with resources in the entertainment industry has offered to help out at future events such as the RWB.

Another trip to Barking and Dagenham is being planned shortly. Some more members have volunteered to make the journey down South so Glasgow will be able to field a larger contingency. Other branches have also indicated their interest in travelling to London with Glasgow.

A tasty buffet was available and at the end of the evening a fantastic collection of £470 was made – the best collection at a Glasgow meeting in a long time. Well done to everyone who attended and we hope to see you all again next month. Can we just remind everyone that tickets for the forthcoming Road Show on 27th March are selling fast, so please order early to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased from the Glasgow and West of Scotland Organiser, Hammy. Telephone: 0771 7774730.

Flying the flag in Aberdeen

March 1, 2010

Cults Hotel

Aberdeen BNP took to the Streets of Cults on Saturday and had a very productive day indeed. “Apart from a left-wing-supporting business trying to disrupt our campaigning, our four-strong team still managed to distribute over 400 leaflets and hand-out almost 100 newspapers to local residents” the North east organiser reported.

A large BNP banner was temporarily erected on council land to mark our presence in the village and was acknowledged by passing motorists who sounded their horns in support. The local hotel manager took great offence to this and decided to call the police, presumably to have us arrested or forcibly ‘moved-on’.

“The police arrived and could instantly see that we were not up to anything illegal or offensive and were quite happy to leave us to it”, said candidate, Susan Ross. “The police informed the hotel manager that there was nothing they could do because we were not breaking the law, the manager saying he only had a problem with the banner because it looks like my hotel supports the BNP”.
Cults
As a gesture of goodwill, the team made the decision to take the banner down and continue campaigning without it thus allowing our hard-working police officers to concentrate on the protection of our communities.

The police officers were visibly annoyed and embarrassed at having to waste their time in dealing with such a ridiculous call out.

“Not only has the manager of the hotel wasted tax-payers cash with his personal attack on democratic freedom of speech, he also wasted the valuable resources of the ‘financially stretched’ Grampian Police who could have used their time questioning us to catch drug dealers and thieves”, activist Steve Thomsom added.

“BNP Scotland vehemently opposes the blatant exploitation of our police force for the purpose of ‘political posturing’ and will not be dictated to when it comes to our choice of campaign locations. Our campaiging is always peaceful, our activists polite and we always place the interests of the community first” organiser Barry Scott concluded.

Joe Finnie leading the way on paper sales

March 1, 2010

BNP17
A team of activists, led by Renfrewshire official Joe Finnie, braved the freezing temperatures once again to sell the Voice of Freedom at Ibrox on Sunday 28th February.
The team sold 200 papers in just two hours and notched up an impressive £113 for party funds. They also had 15 enquiries regarding the forthcoming Glasgow meeting. Joe has also kindly offered to help our Lothian region sell papers, thereby spreading the BNP message across the East coast of Scotland. All branches are encouraged to become involved in selling the VoF as this is an effective method of reaching the general public who are beginning to wake up to the seriousness threat our country is facing from this treacherous Government. Our thanks to Paul Kennedy, Jim Boyd and
Mick Brady who helped big Joe. Other sporting venues, such as Rugby grounds will also be considered for future paper sales.

Desperate Salmond

February 26, 2010

ass
The wheels are coming off the little dictators wagon it seems. A recent poll shows the SNP on their lowest support since Alex Salmond took over the party!

This may explained the SNP’s drive to court the Muslim vote in Glasgow and why they are happy to support a candidate who has praised the ‘Bin Laden of the internet’ radical cleric Anwar al-Awiaki

Osama Saeed is already embroiled in a cash for access row after bidding for a lunch with the First Minister, there are also concerns about his tax-payer-funded £40,000 salary as head of the controversial Scottish-Islamic Foundation which has collected more than £400,000 of tax-payers money from the Executive despite failing to organise a series of promised cultural festivals.

The SNP have used parliamentary facilities to raise funds for Saeed’s campaign and have arranged for his salary at the Scottish-Islamic Foundation to be paid out of public funds. Politicians have called for an enquiry into claims Mr Saeed is using tax-payers money to promote his Westminster bid.

The SNP a one issue one term party who are getting more desperate by the day.

Mike Coyle appointed Central Sub-Regional organiser

February 25, 2010

BNP_mugshot

We are happy to report the return of Mike Coyle after his recent personal tragedy. Mr Coyle will be helping new Lothian’s organiser David Orr Jnr to take up the reigns in Lothian and has been appointed Sub-Regional organiser for the Central region.

We have a great deal of support in the central region based around Falkirk which is one of our target regional seats for 2011, Mr Coyle is keen to get to work organising our many members ready for this coming election and building a team ready to strongly contest the regional seat next year.

Speaking to the Scottish leader today Mr Raikes told news team, “I have been talking with Mike and have asked him to take things easy not to throw himself back in to the fray to soon, the fact he has returned shows just how committed to our cause he is and a example of true British grit he is the kind of guy you want in the trenches with you”.

I too would like to express my admiration for a true British nationalist and wish him and his family all the best for the future.

Next North east meeting

February 25, 2010

imageslogo2

Fellow Patriots,

It is IMPERATIVE that we all attend the next meeting on: Wednesday 3rd March, 7PM

As you may or may not know, the BNP’s ‘Truth Truck’ is to tour North East Scotland in mid March.
This, as you can imagine, will generate a lot of Party Awareness and we need to back this up with street campaigning after the truck has gone home.

At this Meeting we will Organise a ‘Mobile Campaign Machine’ where a Dedicated and Ruthless Team of Volunteers (ie: the willing amongst us) will hand out Party Leaflets/Papers and talk face-to-face with the General Public as well as distribute Leaflets to Homes.

We will muster as much People, Posters, Banners, Papers, Leaflets and Signage as we can and take this Campaign Machine to Banff & Buchan, Gordon and Aberdeen Districts.

We all know how limited we are in terms of Willing Activists so we must all Commit and Work as one United Team.

Please email me any other ideas/suggestions or bring them to the meeting.

NOW is the Time We All Do Our Bit!

Regards,

Barry Scott, North east regional organiser

Letter to the Church from a BNP member

February 23, 2010

The following letter has been drafted by a BNP member in response to Jim Murphy MP trying to get Churches to vote Labour and turn them against the BNP, copies of this excellent letter are being posted to all Churches in Renfrewshire.

013

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you on behalf of the leader of the British National Party in Scotland to explain a little about our party and dispel some of the misrepresentations you may have heard about us.
British National Party Scottish leader, Gary Raikes has been selected as the prospective candidate for the East Renfrewshire seat, currently held by the Labour and RCP “ex-member” Jim Murphy. Mr. Raikes has stood in both local council and Scottish parliamentary elections and was lead candidate in the 2009 Euros. He has been our Scottish leader since 2007. Gary’s website is at http://eastrenfrewshire.blogspot.com/
Jim Murphy is known to many as an extremist who flirted with the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) during his student days and regarded members of Labour’s hard left Militant Tendency as TOO SOFT.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/scotland/article5488742.ece?print=yes&randnum=1151003209000

The British National Party has a long history and growing support in Scotland and has recently stood in the high profile Euro Elections (June 2009) and NE Glasgow Bye-Election (November 2009) with ever – increasing votes. We now have members from all ages and walks of life and are established as a credible mainstream alternative.
We have taken part in many local initiatives from clean-ups of vandalised parks to support for Army veterans’ charities (FEBA) in Scotland to name but a few.
Increasingly, numbers of voters are expressing apathy and discontent with the endless incompetence, lies, false promises and sleaze coming from the three parties that make up the Old Gang of Lib/Lab/Con. And who can blame them? Labour’s recent record has involved illegal wars, the banking bailout scandal, the MP’s expenses scandal, the sell-off of British industry; and the handover of our sovereignty and power to unelected and unaccountable politicians in Brussels, never mind the destruction of our heritage and culture posed by uncontrolled mass immigration! We can revitalize interest in British politics. The process should be more inclusive, with more democracy, not less. We would like to put the British people first in choices for their own country – after all it’s only fair.

The British National Party is a legal, moderate, and legitimate political party which is making progress in elections and now has over 100 Councillors, one London Assembly member, and two MEPs, including our chairman, Nick Griffin.  Most of the people who attack the BNP are opposed to free debate and dislike both moral standards and Christianity, and have sought to marginalise our Christian heritage whilst paving a way for extremism from the Middle East.  What is done to the BNP now could be done to Christians later.  Christians would do well to stand up for the rights of the BNP to free debate and to seriously consider their views, which reflect up to 70% of the people of Britain, on many issues, including that of mass immigration.

We have a vast and growing raft of sensible and viable policies to lay before the voting public, far transcending the mythology that we are merely a political party only concerned with immigration. Our full manifesto and policies can be found at http://bnp.org.uk/policies/. We are interested in the future and how to improve the well being of our people based on the lessons from history. At the moment it seems we are becoming second class citizens in our own country, with rising crime, plus increasing poverty and taxes, for many becoming the social norm.

I can assure you the men and women of the British National Party are well meaning and decent individuals, only motivated by a love and admiration for the traditions of our land and who wish to build a decent community based on family values. There are a significant number of active Christians within our ranks and they will be making sure that churchgoers throughout the country are made aware of what the British National Party really stands for in the run-up to the General Election. The BNP has indeed warned about the danger Britons face from the growth of Islam on our shores. The vast majority of congregations agree with our stance on this and understand the long term social and ideological threat posed to Christianity. However, we have no quarrel with individual Muslims and have no wish to divide communities. The BNP is not anti-Jewish either. In fact we have one elected Jewish councillor (Pat Richardson – Epping Forest). The BNP has members in it who are Jewish, who are secularist, who are evangelical Christians, and who are Roman Catholics.

SNP

We are opposed to SNP separatism and believe Scotland is better off as part of the Union. Far from being impoverished; as part of Britain, Scotland is allocated more funding per person than any other part of the UK. We support the devolved parliament and all local decision making in Scotland. We would also support a referendum on Scottish independence.

We oppose totalitarianism in all its forms, both Marxist and Fascist. We believe this Labour government has implemented some of the most sinister laws attacking free speech and censorship this country has ever seen.

Anti – War

Our party is determined to re-awaken Britain’s manufacturing sector, dismantle its monopolies and generate green jobs. Our party’s foreign and defence policy of armed neutrality would see British forces withdrawn from global conflict theatres in which the country has no vital interests.

Supporting Our Troops – Bring them home now!

We believe Britain has no business intruding into the affairs of the Middle East in respect either of Israel or any other territory. Nor is it our business to support American foreign policy in the Middle East as the USA’s junior partner. We disagreed with and opposed involvement in Iraq long before the war started, together with the Green Party.

Please do not simply let the powers-that-be demonise us unfairly. Give our policies a chance and you will see they
are based on common sense and with the best intentions.

Yours faithfully,

Carrick Crawford.

Regional organisers training event

February 22, 2010
ot 005Scottish leader Gary Raikes and Glasgow organiser Walter Hamilton made the long trip South to attend the regional organisers training event this weekend.

Management style work shops show how the party is progressing as does the turn out of over thirty officials from around Britain under-taking training in a high class venue.

ot 003

Mr. Raikes told news team, “This was a busy weekend for myself and Mr. Hamilton which started on Friday with a meeting with a Scottish journalist who has taken a real interest in our party’s growth and potential, this was followed by another meeting this time with an old friend and ex Deputy chairman of the BNP Scott McLean. I am happy to say that Mr. McLean will be back working for BNP Scotland in the near future. Scott is someone I really respect who has a life time of involvement with the nationalist movement behind him his experience will be invaluable to us”.

ot 008

“After Saturdays training finished we had a chance to catch up with all the other officials to see how things are in their regions, it would seem we are all plagued by the same problems at one time or another yet all remain dedicated to the cause. Sunday we took part in a ‘how to argue’ exercise, something we are very good at here in Scotland! This was an interesting task which Hammy took to like a duck to water, the fact Paul from Essex couldn’t understand his Glaswegian accent helped somewhat, as Jim Dowson said ‘people in Glasgow make saying good morning sound like a death threat’! Cant work out if that’s racist or not”!

During the weekend the pair managed to secure the Truth truck for a weeks tour of our target seats in March, more on that later.

BNP Cllr Paul Golding in Granite City

February 18, 2010

Paul Golding Abdn
Paul Golding whipped up a frenzy on Tuesday night at the Aberdeen Branch Monthly meeting.
Local Activists and Members were left buzzing with enthusiasm after Paul gave an enthralling and motivating speech.

The evening kicked off with an branch update from Organiser, Barry Scott, who explained the progress that Aberdeen was making in terms Party Awareness, “this is a direct result of our increased weekly street Campaigning” he reported.
“and more and more Aberdonians are coming round to our way of thinking”.

After Paul’s passionate speech, the considerable sum of over £300 was raised in donations that will go towards the Branch’s General Election Campaign costs.
“Considering we had an admirable total of 32 attendees at the meeting, it was a fantastic top-up to our Branch funds”
Candidate, Susan Ross said.

At the interval, a superb buffet was served and allowed new potential members to chat with Paul Golding and Scottish Leader, Gary Raikes which resulted in two membership applications that will be processed after the ban has been lifted.
Members old and new had a chance to catch up and discuss what Aberdeen should do to spread the word of the BNP presence in the City.

The evening ended with a Question and Answer Session where activists quizzed Paul on his ‘Recipe for Success’ Campaigning techniques that led to his Election as Councillor in Swanley, Kent.
Paul emphasised the importance of Canvassing and face to face communication with Voters.
“The advice gained from Paul will be utilised to great effect in Aberdeen, Gordon and Banff & Buchan Districts where four Candidates in total will stand. We aim to Campaign vigorously to show the electorate that there is a party out there worthy of their vote”. Gary Raikes reported.

Courting the Muslim vote?

February 11, 2010

imagesCAKSQK6D

Scotland’s deputy first minister has written a letter of support for a man who could be jailed over benefit fraud.
Nicola Sturgeon asked the court to consider “alternatives to a custodial sentence” in the case of Abdul Rauf.
The 60-year-old, who is a constituent of Ms Sturgeon, defrauded £80,000 from the Department of Work and Pensions.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how Rauf admitted failing to declare a property in Newington, Edinburgh, worth £200,000 on his application for income support.
He subsequently received £650 a month in rent while he claimed the benefits between 2001 and 2006.
At the same time he was living in a £400,000 house in Glasgow’s Maxwell Park area. In 1996, Rauf was given a four-year sentence for stealing nearly £60,000 in pension and benefit payments when he was a sub-post master at Tollcross in Edinburgh. Last week Ms Sturgeon along with her boss Salmond were selling access to raise funds for the SNP to a Mr Amin Hussain and a Mr Khalid Javid
Now she is prepared to give a character reference for Mr Abdul Rauf a convicted fraudster. Just what else are the SNP willing to do to secure the Muslim vote?

Scottish organisers meeting report

February 9, 2010

BNP14

BNP Scotland held an organisers meeting on Sunday 7th to discuss the General Election. Topics included candidate admin, dealing with the media and campaign tactics.
Ten confirmed prospective candidates will be standing in Scotland we hope to make that up to twelve to reach the target we set ourselves last year.

Aberdeen organiser, Barry Scott reported that his group will be putting up two billboards to aid Susan Ross’s campaign, a first for the BNP in Scotland, we are also hoping to secure the truth truck for a tour of our target seats backed up by a newspaper campaign based on the Barking paper used down south which Glasgow Organiser Walter Hamilton and other Scottish officials helped distribute in Nick Griffins seat.

A new organiser for Lothian’s was appointed to build on the good work done by Mike Coyle who sadly due to family bereavement has had to stand down from the role. I know all BNP members will wish him and his family well, we are all thinking of you at this difficult time.
BNP9
Taking over from Mike will be David Orr Jnr whose father has been one of our longest serving activists and a prospective candidate in the coming election.

Photographs were taking by our own professional photographer, Dave Jeffries, who will be on hand to capture activities through out the campaign.

A fundraising evening with guest speaker Cllr Paul Golding will be held in Aberdeen on Feb 17th followed by another event in Glasgow in March with Chairman Nick Griffin or another high profile speaker. This weekend activists from Glasgow are travelling to Aberdeen to help Susan’s campaign. BNP Scotland have candidates standing in all North east seats in this election another first, one of many more to come!
