bnp 175

The Lothian’s activists were out again today Leafleting in support of Livingston candidate David Orr.

Under Lothians regional organiser David Orr Jun’s guidance, the team put out over 400 leaflets and Voice of Freedom newspapers, including a large number of personal leaflets about our Livingston candidate. The team were joined again by super activist Mark McGarry and local activist Darren Whyman who is fast becoming recognised for his commitment to the team.
bnp 177
Central regional organiser Mike Coyle also reports that he has secured a Voice of Freedom newspaper sale with another local news agent happy to stock it, THAT’S 2 IN WEST LOTHIAN ALONE! with another 2 awaiting confirmation. He would also personally like to thank David on the route that resulted in a few blisters.

On another note David and Mike are happy to announce the coming formation of the new Lothian’s branch, with all official positions filled and even its own professional branch photographer. Such progress in such little time is a clear indication that our message is being heard in the Lothian’s and across Scotland. The fire has been lit and its only getting hotter!

To join the team that is making a difference, or for more local information, contact David or Mike on the contact page.

Lothians activists on the streets again

March 13, 2010

West Lothian Super Activist Mark McGarry and Central Scotland Organiser Mike Coyle took to the streets today in a second day of high visibility leafleting in the Lothian’s. The team put out 250+ leaflets in an hour.
IMAG2212
Mike told the news team ” We leafleted the small town of Whitburn which has shown great support in the past. We gave a keen young chap an info pack plus one elderly lady told us she was so sick and tired with politics and doesn’t vote anymore but listened as we explained what we stood for before taking a leaflet and one for her neighbour”

The team then retired for one of Mikes dubious bacon sandwiches (which will in effect incapacitate them for a few days)

On a special note, Mike adds ” Again Mark must be commended. As mentioned before this young lad cares full time for his mother but attends every meeting and event not just in the Lothians but on occasion in Glasgow. Both myself and Lothian’s Organiser Davie Orr wish to congratulate Mark on his successfull Gold membership application that was processed today following the lift on the membership ban!”

The Lothian team is going from strength to strength with the next meeting planned for this coming Thursday.

For further details or to join the team, please contact David Orr or Mike Coyle on the Sub Regional contacts page.

March is set to be a busy time for BNP Scotland, with meetings being held in Aberdeen, Lothian’s and Glasgow in the first week, followed by a week long visit from the Truth truck touring all the seats we are contesting, then finishing with the BNP General Election fund raising road show including live music as well as an address from National Chairman Nick Griffin on the 27th.

Aberdeen will also see the first BNP bill board in Scotland going up as we continue to take our message to the people.

Along with paper sales and leafleting sessions already taking place across the regions this will greatly raise the BNP’s profile in the run up to what promises to be a very interesting election.

As always we need more activists to help out, if you want to get involved please contact your sub-regional organiser or the Scottish office.

A message from the Scottish leader

February 24, 2010

DSC00947

Even though it seems like the world is rushing headlong towards its own destruction the BNP looks to be developing more self-discipline, professionalism, and external respect, which is what is needed if it is to continue to survive and grow.
Mark you, the cards are still stacked against us, as many brain-washed fellow Britons still see the BNP as a threat to their own peace of mind and daily we still encounter their residual prejudices. However with each deal of the cards our hand is getting stronger. Perhaps one day in the not to distant future others will look to us to find some sort of order in their own lives.
The face of Britain as we know it is changing, as is the world at large. We must make changes ourselves to meet this new world. However, there is a tendency in some quarters to take the attitude that such changes cannot affect us and whatever happens we in the BNP will stay the same. I am afraid that view is sadly wrong and to think like that is a trap. We must continue to become more organised to adapt and become more aware of the world in which we operate in, or we will simply not be here in twenty years time to do anything about it.
If we are to preserve our hereditary way of life and restore our identity, freedom, security and democracy we must stand up and be counted, and be willing to fight to preserve our way of life. This can be done in a number of ways, most importantly by joining and becoming active in your local BNP group. Stand as a BNP candidate in local and national elections, make donations etc. If there is no local group in your area become a contact and start one!
The Governments of the day will continue to play on people’s fears and paranoia about anything that is different to current mainstream society, and use misinformation and public prejudice in an attempt to maintain a world of their own, where they can remain unchallenged in order to drive us all down any path they choose.
We must do all we can to stop the rot. By being a strong person, by doing something different you have already made a statement of individuality by joining and supporting the BNP.
Don’t ever lose faith, fight to preserve this simple freedom and support others who do the same. We can then hopefully build a better future for ourselves and our children and give life to some of the freedoms we are in danger of losing.

Please contact your nearest organiser or the Scottish office with your offer of help.

BNP Scotland meets BNP London

January 21, 2010

bnp pics 011
The report of the recent Barking day of action on the main BNP site mentioned that activists had travelled down from Glasgow to help out over the weekend, it failed to name our super-actvists who are a credit and inspiration to BNP Scotland, well I am proud to put that right.

Well done Walter ‘Hammy’ Hamilton and Denise O’Neill from Glasgow.
Joe T Finnie from Renfrewshire and Kenny MacDonald from Edinburgh.

Stars each and every one!

Denise told newsteam, “After a photoshoot, everyone was allocated their designated areas. Heavy rain and wind did not deter our hardened activists and several hours work saw us distribute hundreds of copies of “The Voice of Barking & Dagenham” Sunday brightened up a great deal and we were joined by Nick Griffin with a couple of leafleters. Another few hundred were distributed and after 4 hours, we all retreated to a local hostelry where Mr Griffin and his team were well received. After an hour or so Mr Griffin left with Simon Darby to head for Brussels, but thanked us all for making the effort to start him off with his campaign. All involved with the week-end activities had a good time. Thank you everyone,”

Action in Lothian’s continues

January 20, 2010

IMAG2036
West Lothian BNP members were out again today leafleting for Thursdays meeting, local organiser Mike Coyle reported, “Due to the high level of interest that has been shown, I have opened the meeting to the public. To that end, we put out a large number of personally made leaflets and invitations around the town of Whitburn. As always, everyone we spoke to had nothing but praise”.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 21st January 7.30pm at a West Lothian venue. It will be informal, with free refreshments available. “We will be discussing past acheivments in West Lothian, where we stand today, a talk on the coming election, a question and answer session and we will also hold a minute silence for the children of Haiti.” adds Mike.

If you are free this Thursday Contact West Lothian’s Organiser Mike Coyle for venue details. 07815597675.

“On a more personal note while out leafleting one lady, who always votes BNP, that I spoke to almost brought me to tears. She approached me with the most awful story of how her partner left her days ago taking everything, leaving not a penny to her name and 2 young children to care for. West Lothian BNP gave her a donation to cover her Gas, Electricity and basic provisions. We then put her in touch with the appropriate agencies. WEST LOTHIAN BNP WILL NEVER ALLOW CHILDREN TO GO COLD AND HUNGRY”

BNP Scotland can also announce that West Lothian BNP has established working and supportive communications with the local Police. This has been done with mutual respect, where all branch activities will be registered in advance to provide a safe and secure working environment for all activists and volunteers.

If you can help build the party in Lothian please contact 07815597675 and join the team that cares.

Scottish leader to stand against Jim Murhpy MP

January 17, 2010

IMG_1021

British National Party Scottish leader Gary Raikes has been selected as the prospective candidate for the East Renfrewshire seat, currently held by the Revolutionary Communist Party “ex-member” Jim Murphy.

Mr Raikes has stood in both local council and Scottish parliamentary elections and was lead candidate in the 2009 Euros. He has been our Scottish leader since 2007.

“I am pleased to be standing against the Labour Scottish Secretary who has appointed himself as the anti-BNP spokesman here in Scotland,” Mr Raikes said.

“I very much look forward to sharing a platform with Mr Murphy during the campaign and enlightening him to the truth about today’s BNP as well as getting answers to questions about his dalliance with the Revolutionary Communist party (RCP) during his student days.

“If a politician is discovered to have been a supporter of any so-called far right party during their youth then they are forever attacked by the likes of Murphy,” Mr Raikes continued.

“Yet those like Mr Murphy who dallied with the vile politics of the extreme left during their formative years are allowed to pretend this is of no concern.

“I will remind the voters that Mr Murphy allied himself with the murderous creed which killed more people than fascism and enslaved and killed many millions after the war had ended.

Mr Raikes also pointed out that it was “no surprise” that this “ex-Communist” did not bother to turn up for nearly a third of all the votes taken at the House of Commons during the last term.

“Mr Murphy voted for the Iraq war and then voted against appointing an investigation into that war. Of course, Mr Murphy might not relish the thought of a BNP candidate pointing these facts out in public and he may choose to hide behind the ‘no platform policy’ of Scottish Labour. I somehow don’t think that will help him,” Mr Raikes said.

Message from new FEBA patron Diane Leech

January 12, 2010

feba

Dear Supporters,

It is now with a great honour, and huge respect and love and also a deep sadness, that I can announce to all those who care to listen, that I have now been named as patron of  F E B A (which stands for – Forward Edge of the Battle Area)  FEBA is a charity in Scotland for veterans many live on the streets and it was created by a incredible man named Tommy Moffat, this man along with his lovely wife have given everything to help these veterans, they have begged the government to help and even met Gordon Brown and many other politicians who happily smiled when the cameras were clicking and then have done nothing including Alex Salmond, also the RBL HAVE OFFERED NOTHING APART FROM A PRAM, SO NOTHING HAS CHANGED THERE THEN!
My self and Steve have been up to Scotland and taken much needed food and clothing but we need more. We require tins of food including beans and tinned tomatoes as this charity tries to give veterans a free breakfast so a least they get one meal a day and a break from the streets. We also need food biscuits drinks and cakes to take out to the homeless, also items of clothing in excellent condition, blankets towels and also furniture. We also need gifts of donations to help keep this  place going as this is the only secure place these veterans have.
Tommy who created this place has given everything he has to keep it going and almost his life too as he had a heart attack and had to have a heart by pass, and is now depressed and run down with the strain of trying to help all these veterans which up to date is 600 and growing. I Am begging you all to please help in any way you can, we are now looking somehow to try to raise the money to get us up there will a large van full of items and money, I have over the years put everything we have into financing the work we have done with honour, but  we cannot find the money to do this much longer and pay our way in the world as well.  To all those who know the work I do, you will know I am telling you as it is and you all know me by now to know I am dedicated to my beloved service personnel and everything I receive by way of gifts, has so many areas to cover i.e. Selly Oak Hospital ,parcels to Afghanistan that are sent out constantly, and of late, money and items to FEBA. I do this alone with my husband and rely greatly on the people who know and support what I do, along with going to various groups and giving talks to raise more money. For all of this to continue. please if you can help in any way or do you have that large van and the petrol to fill it, please help me to help them. Through December,  I sent out to Afghanistan approx 200 parcels. All these parcels were wrapped in Christmas paper and when each soldier opened their parcel up just inside their box under the lid I had taped onto the lid either a Christmas star or a angel or something relating to Christmas such as a bauble and  a hand written Christmas card and other items. I spent everyday in November/December preparing these parcels, it was exhausting but just to know the comfort and joy these would bring is everything one could wish for. I have done this every year for the past 3 or four years, constantly throughout the year. Please help in any way you can and never underestimate how grateful I am for all your help, I would be grateful if this letter could be passed on to everyone. I am selling tshirts too with ”Support Our Troops” on them, all sizes available £12.50 each inclu P&P.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS. Please feel free to call me on 07719898322 or email me at

Many thanks for reading this and fro your support.

Kind regards from the SOLDIERS FRIEND.

Inspiration at its best

January 6, 2010

imagesCAVJ1B0VI hope the following will give all BNP members and officials inspiration for coming campaigns. I recently read the life story of Abraham Lincoln it shows the failures he went through yet he never lost hope. For 32 years he fought with his destiny before achieving his pinacle – his presidency. Read on

1832 Lost job. Defeated for state legislature

1833 Failed in business.

1835 Wife died

1836 Had nervous breakdown

1838 Defeated for speaker

1843 Defeated for nomination of congress

1848 Lost renomination

1849 Rejected for land officer

1854 Defeated US Senate

1856 Defeated for nomination for vice president

1858 Again defeated for US Senate

AND HERE GOES THE LAST AND PERHAPS THE BEST ONE :

1860 Elected as President.

I was amazed by the number of failures and number of years he fought before achieving what he wanted. We usually lose our hopes, say that I cant take it anymore, it’s enough for me etc etc long before 32 years!
Like Lincoln we have to keep on and we will get our just rewards, of that I am certain, 2010 could well be the best year yet for the BNP!

Gary Raikes

The new year begins!

January 4, 2010

pgThe first Scottish office meeting of 2010 for all organisers and officials is being held this Saturday where BNP Councilor Paul Golding will provide a special General Election local fundraising presentation. This year is an important stepping stone to BNP Scotland winning a regional list seat at Holyrood in 2011. Januarys issue of our newsletter ‘The Bugle’ will include an A4 appeal for funds and another A4 separate appeal for candidates, the mailing to 232 enquirers will also include a membership form – or instructions as to how to become a member. A total of 740 copies will be sent out, another significant rise in the numbers receiving our quarterly publication.

Candidates for the general election have started to be appointed and we hope to have up to 23 in place by polling day. To make this a reality we need to raise funds and we need committed members to step forward and put their names in the hat. We must give the people of Scotland the chance to vote BNP in every region we can, especially the Central region where we came so close to beating the Conservative candidate to win third place in the recent Glasgow by-election sending shock waves through the establishment. Our percentage of the votes in the last few years has steadily grown and we are now on course to gain the 5-6% needed to win a regional list seat in 2011, standing candidates in every Central seat this year will confirm our support.

If you would like to be considered for a candidate please contact Scotland@bnp.org.uk Your party and your country needs you!

Nationality

December 19, 2009

BNP flagNationality is the condition, or fact, of belonging to a body of people sharing a common descent, culture, history and language. Nationality as used here does not mean citizenship – it means membership of a nation – a community.

Nationality is normally acquired at birth; individuals are normally born into a community. It is the perception of a common ancestry and shared communal experiences that binds a nation together. At the heart of nationality is a feeling of belonging and oneness that marks out a communal boundary. The ‘we’ sentiment is not, as many wish us to believe, evil and deserving of eradication. On the contrary, it is at the heart of any community anywhere in the world, and gives rise to positive communal thoughts and deeds. It is difficult to frame exact rules for determining who is a member of a given nation but a useful guide, which can be used for any nation, is as follows: I am Scottish if I believe that I am Scottish and if I am accepted as being Scottish by the members of that group of people who are commonly recognised as being Scottish. It is a two-way instinctive relationship between individual and community. I could, for example, assert that I am Japanese but if I have physical and cultural characteristics that are not Japanese, as determined by the Japanese, I will not be accepted as part of the Japanese community. No amount of law-making, sulking or haranguing will alter that.

The two-way process of selection for inclusion or exclusion helps provide an answer to the question often thrown at nationalists, “What does it mean [for example] to be English?” The aim of the questioner is to draw out a list of characteristics that identify the English. Those asked are usually stumped for an answer, which is not surprising because the process of inclusion and exclusion is not a conscious one and does not work in the way implied by the question. The English, like all other nations, first see characteristics that exclude people because that is a more efficient way of working when analysing vast amounts of information. Most of the Earth’s population can be quickly excluded from membership of any given nation on the basis of appearance and language. If necessary, other tests of varying degrees of sophistication can be used until we are satisfied that the person is either an insider or an outsider. If the person is accepted as an insider, the instinctive assessment process goes on and makes other judgements about the person, including such things as their social class. At this insider level of assessment, the filtering process can make finer distinctions because we have far more experience of dealing with insiders and can make better use of small amounts of information. For example, if a Russian gives me his home address it will tell me little, if anything, about him because my knowledge of Russia and things Russian is poor. An address in my hometown will tell me far more about the person who lives there.

Nationality is a total experience that starts in the family, which is the smallest community. Children are born into both a family and the wider communities of which that family is part. They are immersed in and soak up like a sponge the language, culture and history of the communities to which they belong. That experience helps mould children and gives them an identity and sense of belonging. They pick up habits of behaviour and thought that are part of what is meant by national character. That character-building process, if that is what it can properly be called, works best when there is cultural immersion and socialisation from a very early age. Once a national identity has been absorbed, it is embedded for life. It shapes values and perceptions in a way that makes it impossible for a member of one nation to completely shake off that identity and take on another. Learning another nation’s customs, history and language is not enough because the new information is laid on old foundations.

The link between kinship, identity and loyalty can be illustrated as follows. An adopted child reared from a baby by loving adopted parents is likely to feel love and affection for those parents. When the child learns of its adoption it will normally want to seek out its biological parents. If they are found, the child is likely to feel an attachment to them that is different from that felt for the adopted parents, who it will probably continue to love as before. This need to know our origins is instinctive and essential to our sense of identity and belonging. It is therefore understandable that when a child learns that its real parents belong to a nation different from the one it has been raised in, it is likely to be drawn to that other nation’s culture, and identify with it. This can cause difficulties that are made worse when differences of race are added to those of nationality. The experience of many children involved in cross-race adoptions is one of confusion in adulthood due to conflicting communal identities and loyalties. Having been immersed in one culture from birth and having had that identity imprinted on them they find it difficult, if not impossible, to feel totally part of another culture to which they are subsequently drawn. They cannot overcome the fact that the first all-important immersion in a communal identity is a one-off experience. In a similar way, children with parents of the same race but different nationality have to deal with conflicting attractions and loyalties. However, the problem is usually not so great for them because they are generally drawn to, and accepted by, at least one of the nations to which they are linked by kinship. A child raised in the national homeland, culture and language of one parent is likely to be drawn to that nation and be accepted by it. However, physical appearance can sometimes play a more important part than upbringing in determining which community a person is drawn to and which community accepts them. If a person’s physical or cultural characteristics differ greatly from the norm for a particular nation, that person is unlikely to seek acceptance in it or to be accepted by it. Liberals feel the need to put a positive slant on these things and suggest that children with parents of different nationality or race have the advantage of two identities and two cultures. But is it really possible to immerse oneself in two cultures, identify with two histories, feel an insider in two communities, and, more difficult still, be accepted as a full member of two communities? The answer is probably, no.

To feel an insider and be accepted as an insider it is usually necessary for a person to be immersed in the culture of that community from birth and to be free of traits that would cause that person to be seen as an outsider. A nation is an extended family and like a family it has a life greater than that of any single member. Nations, like families, are bound together by the bonds of empathy and loyalty that come from a shared identity. Those bonds are not only with the living but also with those who have gone before and those who are yet to come. That link between past, present and future encourages the living members of a national community to protect the memory of earlier generations and safeguard the position of future generations. That sentiment is not something that can be learned or feigned.

SNP, one issue one term party

December 16, 2009

imagesCA1L7SM0We are now feeling the result of having a one issue executive at Holyrood with little experience of government. The SNP populist giveaway budgets now mean millions of pounds which could have been available for essential services have been frittered away.
The freezing of council tax alone will cost in excess of £200million next year. If the council tax had been allowed to rise by 3% a year it would of cost on average 75p per week. This money could have been used to maintain education and social services that councils are now cutting.
Abolishing prescription charges and tolls on bridges can hardly be justified at the expense of basic health, education and social services.
The latest SNP proposal to spend millions on a unwanted referendum shows how out of touch Mr Salmond has become, as does the SNP led Aberdeen councils proposal to close three primary schools to save £147,000 per year while in the next breath considering prescribing heroin to the city’s addicts.
The estimated cost of this is approx £15,000 per year per addict. With an estimated addict population of 3,000 in Aberdeen this idiocy would cost approx £4.5million per year.
A lack of common sense and foresight by the ‘independence at any cost’ SNP will see the one issue party become a one term party in 2011 as the people wake up to the reality of these false nationalists.

A promise I intend to keep!

November 29, 2009

BNP_flag_new_bw
The following letter was published in the Daily Mail and is of special interest as it was written by someone who spent time on the campaign trail recently.

“I’m not racist, but…” that’s what I heard on the streets of Glasgow North East, time and time again. As the dust settles, activists in the main parties should consider the wider implications.
The BNP came within a few dozen votes of pushing the Tories into forth place and became the new home for angry and disillusioned voters rather than Solidarity, the Scottish Socialist Party and the Liberal Democrats’
Many voters were disillusioned with mainstream politicians. “Politicians? There all the same,” they all told me.
I found an increasing number of traditional non-voters were going to vote BNP. ” Someone needs to grab this country by the scruff of the neck,” was a common feeling.
If the main parties continue to be seen as indifferent or ineffective, then the BNP will continue making inroads in Scotland.
When voters ask why their children can’t get a council or housing association tenancy, the answer “they aren’t priority status” is remembered.
When gangs roam the streets and drug dealers ply their trade with little, if any, interference from the police, voters know who really calls the shots. People have had enough.
Alex Salmond has made much of Westminster dancing to a Scottish tune after next’s years General Election.
If I were him, I would be more concerned about the BNP holding the balance of power in Holyrood after the next Scottish Parliamentary elections in 2011.

MEV BROWN, Independent candidate in the Glasgow North east by-election, Currie, Midlothian.

All I will say is I promise that I will work night and day to make this a reality! We will deliver a BNP MSP in 2011 and nothing will stand in our way.
