March 14, 2010

Saturday saw the ‘Truth Truck’ off into the Gordon constituency in support of our candidate Elise Jones.

The husband and wife team of Roy and Elise Jones joined North east organiser Barry Scott who took on microphone duty for the day touring the region.

Being a Saturday the main town centers were crowded helping to get our message to even more people.

Tomorrow Banff and Buchan candidate Richard Payne will be joining the team as the good work continues, a full report coming soon.

Day two on tour

March 12, 2010

truth2 008
Day two saw the team in the Banff and Buchan constituency to aid Richard Payne’s campaign using the slogan ” Don’t be insane, vote for Richard Payne” accompanied by the swirl of the bagpipes.

Two of the areas main fishing ports gave the ‘Truth Truck’ a real warm welcome’ support here outnumbering anything we have seen so far.
truth2 001
After being waved down by bin men keen to get their hands on leaflets for themselves and work mates the team stopped for a tea break and were relieved of a number of papers by someone whose girl friend had seen us out in Aberdeen the day before, the word seems to be spreading, the BNP have arrived!

More reports over the weekend.

Scottish tour starts

March 11, 2010

truth truck 1 002
Thanks to a 24 hour round trip undertaken by Barry Scott and Roy Jones the BNP ‘Truth Truck’ arrived in the North east of Scotland early Thursday morning. After a quick hand over to Scottish leader Gary Raikes the truck was off on the first leg of its Scottish tour.
truth truck 1 001
Aberdeen was visited first followed by a trip up Royal Deeside through towns in the constituency. The loudspeaker was more than ably manned by Steve Thompson whose non stop patter made sure our message was clearly put across to the public. The team were pleased to see that the support including thumbs up, flashing lights and even people clapping out matched the handful of obscene gestures from the ill informed few.

In one day BNP Scotland reached more people than weeks of leafleting would of done. The tour continues through out next week as the team visit all the constituencies we are contesting in the coming election.

Never before have so few bought the message to so many.

Aberdeen activists

December 13, 2009

Aberdeen Activists ended 2009 with a successful leafleting session in the Aberdeen South Constituency Area of Torry on Saturday 12th.
“We handed out hundreds upon hundreds of leaflets and newspapers to the good people of Torry who were very eager to get their hands on our literature” a spokesman said.

Many people were also keen to share the problems of their area and confided in our Aberdeen South Candidate, Susan Ross who was also present with activists on the streets of Torry. “I very much enjoyed talking with the residents of Torry who shared their grievances with me and I give my thanks to the many who voiced their support for the Party,” said Susan. bnp 001c
As is to be expected, non supporters of the Party let their feelings be known to ourselves with one Polish member of Torry proclaiming that “you need us Poles working here because all you Brits are lazy bas****s”!

This opinion simply galvanised our belief that Torry is one of the most desperate areas in need our of our help and representation. We aim to Campaign vigorously in this area in the build-up to next year’s General Election.

The day was brought to a close with a visit to one of Torry’s fine watering holes ‘The Grampian Bar’ for a well deserved drink.

Glasgow welcomes Nick Griffin and Richard Barnbrook

November 9, 2009

IMG_0129

It’s a lovely sunny but chilly morning on Monday 9th November 2009 and BNP Scotland is delighted to welcome to the streets of Glasgow North East, Nick Griffin MEP and Richard Barnbrook GLA (Member of the Greater London Assembly) for a day’s campaigning in the constituency.

We started in Springburn Shopping Centre just after 11am where we spent a full hour in the presence of the national media.

Richard Barnbrook took up the megaphone and regaled shoppers with our message while BNP activists leafleted everyone coming and going. Meanwhile Nick spoke to an eager media as the Truth Truck drove all around the area with its positive message blaring from the speakers.

Interestingly, there was no sign of the other parties at all, as Nick went walkabout, meeting and greeting the locals.

It was then onto Saracen Street with the media keen to keep up.

Richard walked ahead of our entourage, right down one side of Saracen Street with his message sounding out from his megaphone. It was clear to us all in BNP Scotland that Richard is a real professional and judging from his confidence and skill, he has done this many times before! In fact, Richard told us that Glasgow North East reminded him of Barking and Dagenham 3 years ago.

Nick followed and greeted passers-by, shaking their hands, stopping to talk to them and giving them our leaflet. On the other side of the street, our party activists were handing out leaflets as the Truth Truck drove up and down the street.

On one side of the leaflets was the message “SNP – The Mass Immigration Party” and on the other “Fair Play for Glasgow – Stop Asylum Dumping Now!” The leaflet was well-received by everyone.

The leaflet continued: “The SNP are showing their real unpatriotic colours. They want to see even more immigration to Scotland and don’t care that it’s unfair on our own jobless, homeless and taxpayers. An SNP vote is a vote to import even more unemployment, crime and poverty into Glasgow.”

The Truth Truck is very tall and visible. As a passerby commented, “You can see it for miles!”

After spending time in Saracen Street everyone set off for Duke Street. Here we did the same thing. Our entourage walked down one side of the road, led by Richard with Nick and the media and our leafleters in tow, and then we walked down the other side, while the Truth Truck drove up and down and round about the entire area.

Nick was on top form and was as happy to be with us as we were to see him. He is a very friendly politician and loved to shake hands with the people who recognised him – which was everyone.

Everyone was friendly. The only sour note was from an SNP activist who stumbled into our entourage. He called one of our leafleters a “fascist”, only to be brought up short by our activist who rebuked him, “You Sir, have not been brought up properly!”

The frantic SNPer also received a particularly unwanted reminder of his own party’s history from our activist: “Calling us ‘fascist’ is rich coming from a member of a party whose former leader, Arthur Donaldson, was a Nazi sympathiser during WW2 and wanted to set up a Vichy-style regime in Scotland!” he was told. The SNPer stormed off in a huff – we guess the truth hurts!

The facts about Donaldson were explained in a 2005 Sunday Times article which stated:
“Arthur Donaldson, the former SNP leader, planned to set up a Vichy-style regime in Scotland in the event of a Nazi invasion, according to a newly released MI5 file. Donaldson intended to infiltrate the party with Nazi sympathisers, who would undermine the British war effort by carrying out acts of sabotage and spreading misinformation. Following a widely anticipated invasion by Hitler’s forces, the Nationalist leader hoped to establish himself as a ‘Scottish quisling’ in charge of a puppet government. Donaldson, who led the party from 1960 to 1969, was arrested in 1941 and was held for five weeks at Barlinnie.”
(Peter Day, “SNP boss planned Nazi Scotland”, The Sunday Times, 6 November 2005).

Let our candidate Charlie Baillie have the final word after today’s wonderful activity. As he told us:

“This was a great day’s activism. Thanks to Nick Griffin MEP and Richard Barnbrook MLA for coming up to help. We really appreciate that. Nick got a great response from the voters and Richard is an extremely impressive politician who really helped to turn the visit into an event! It was especially appropriate that Nick and Richard were here on the same day that Alan Johnson, Home Secretary, was also in the constituency. This is a man who says in today’s papers that he wants ‘a debate’ on immigration. Well, talking is nice, but action is what is needed now! The fact is, Alan Johnson can debate immigration until the cows come home, but he has no intention of ever actually doing anything about it! The voters can see through him. That’s one of the reasons why voters in Glasgow North East are supporting the British National Party – the only party that is not just talking about it, but will actually do something to stop mass immigration.”

Voting is this Thursday 12th November between 7am-10pm. See the “Point of Light” manifesto on which Charlie Baillie and the BNP are standing here:

This is our time

November 6, 2009

164413045http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/scotland/article6905279.ece

Mainstream parties say that Nick Griffin’s appearance on Question Time has raised the BNP’s profile.
.
The mainstream political parties are increasingly worried that British National Party could achieve a political breakthrough in Scotland in next week’s byelection.
.
Some privately believe that the BNP stands a chance of winning third place in Glasgow North East, ahead of the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats, or, at best, save its deposit — something the party has never achieved in an election in Scotland.
.
In the European elections in June the BNP won 545 votes in Glasgow North East — 4.4 per cent of the overall vote on a 21.5 per cent turn out. To save its deposit on Thursday, the BNP needs to achieve 5 per cent. If the turn-out in Glasgow North East is around the predicted 40 per cent, the BNP would require only 1,200 votes to reach that target.
.
The main parties believe that the BNP’s campaign was boosted by the appearance of Nick Griffin, the BNP’s leader, on Question Time last month. They also say that the BNP is feeding off voter antipathy created by the MPs expenses scandal
.
Allied to that, Glasgow North East is the only Scottish constituency with a relatively high number of asylum seekers. Ten years ago the city decided to take part in the Home Office’s asylum seeker dispersal programme and many of the several thousand asylum seekers who were sent to Glasgow ended up in the constituency’s notorious Red Road towers.
.
Asylum seekers say they regularly face accusations that they are given preferential treatment over local families when it comes to housing allocations.
.
Labour MPs out canvassing in the constituency say that they have come across growing support for the BNP among voters.
.
“It’s not just in these places where you would expect it but among some of the better-off people as well. I’m worried that the BNP could cause a real shock here,” said one.
.
Another was concerned that the BNP could achieve 10 per cent of the vote, although his colleagues disputed that support was as high as that.
.
Professor John Curtice, Britain’s most respected polling analyst, said: “You would have to say that this is potentially the best place in Scotland for the BNP.
.
“The social profile in Glasgow North East means it is the kind of area where the BNP tend to do well throughout the UK. But you do not expect them to do as well in Scotland as they would do in the same social situation down south.”
.
He said that the chances of the BNP coming third were slim. For it to do so would mean that support for parties other than Labour and the SNP had totally collapsed.
.
The BNP candidate in the byelection is Charlie Baillie, a long-time member of the party. “The message is that the BNP is opposed to the dispersal policy enacted by the city council. We are opposed to mass immigration and we seek an immediate return for bogus asylum seekers,” he said.
.
With the byelection campaign now in its final lap, the Labour candidate, Willie Bain, appears increasingly confident of holding off a strong challenge from the SNP and avoiding a repeat of Glasgow East byelection last year, when the SNP overcame a 13,000 Labour majority.
.
Political observers say that the SNP campaign has failed to develop any real momentum.
Labour has made great play of the SNP government’s recent decision to cancel a rail link project from Glasgow to the city’s airport. The SNP has tried to hit back by reminding voters that they have been electing Labour representatives at all levels of government for the past 74 years but that the constituency still remains one of the poorest in the UK.
.
The byelection was triggered by the decision of the former Commons speaker, Michael Martin, now Lord Martin of Springburn, to stand down in June as the MP for Glasgow North East in the wake of the expenses scandal.
.
Both the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives, which will also be fighting to save their deposits, did not contest the seat at the General Election in 2005, observing the Westminster tradition that the Speaker is not opposed.
——————————————————————————–
My information to date, which includes a very good estimate of the votes already cast via the postal votes, is that third place and a stunning shocker is ………..possible, very possible!

Lets not disapoint them! Every member who can get to Glasgow over the next week please contact 07827811008 or 07717774730

A Point of Light: The BNP Manifesto for Glasgow North East

November 3, 2009

new logo Scotland

OUR 5-POINT PLAN TO CREATE EMPLOYMENT
Firstly, Invest in Industrial Revival throughout Glasgow:
The Westminster Constituency of Glasgow North East has the highest unemployment rate of any Westminster Constituency in Scotland and the 14th highest unemployment rate in Britain.

It has 17.5% male unemployment, 6.4% female unemployment and 12.2% overall unemployment, according to the House of Commons publication, Unemployment by Constituency, August 2009 RESEARCH PAPER 09/72, 16 September 2009, at page 20 (which shows the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance recorded as resident in each constituency).

We are committed to creating and protecting British Jobs for British Workers. The area within Glasgow North East was formerly known for producing locomotives – back when Glasgow was known as the second city of the British Empire.

Engineering used to be Glasgow’s genius! Where is its industry now?

To return to genuine, long-term wealth and jobs we need investment into the productive economy, into industry. Instead of pouring money into the banking sector and down the drain, we need to invest in industry. The prescription to ensure long-term wealth and jobs is Industrial Revival!

Secondly, Promote Green Jobs:
The BNP stands for energy independence for Britain. We want to see Britain aiming to provide for as much of its energy needs as possible. Nationally, it is dangerous and uneconomic to be reliant upon outside sources for our energy needs.

We advocate investment in jobs and in communities in order to achieve the aim of energy independence for Britain. For example, we want to see an insulation programme for houses throughout Glasgow, creating long-term jobs and saving energy!

We also advocate investment in appropriate sustainable energy sources, as part of our programme for national self-reliance – these would be small-scale energy initiatives, rather than industrial-scale wind-farms which damage and blight the countryside.

Thirdly, Create Apprenticeships:
We want to see the creation of skilled, secure, well-paid, long-term work for our young people. With a programme of Industrial Revival and Green Jobs, we will be able to invest in apprenticeships which will train our young people in useful and productive skills.

By protecting British Jobs for British Workers we will ensure their efforts and wages are not undercut by foreign goods and labour.

Fourthly, Encourage Small Businesses to Succeed:
The best way of doing this is to give small businesses, rates relief. The high cost of business rates in Glasgow is making many small, independent businesses unviable. Slashing business rates is an absolutely essential policy which will allow small businesses to succeed, while boosting employment throughout Glasgow.

Fifthly, Encourage Alternative Methods of Raising Finance:
We support the creation and promotion of local Credit Unions, and we support the “Grameen Glasgow” initiative of Prof Muhammad Yunus – which could allow people to take out a business loan without forfeiting their benefits and without putting up any collateral. (”Grameen” means “rural” or “village” in Bengali.)

IMPROVING EDUCATION
We must make educational attainment a priority. The Westminster constituency of Glasgow North East is the 4th worst for educational attainment in all of Scotland, and the 14th worst for educational attainment in all of Britain

Out of 628 Westminster constituencies, Glasgow North East is the 615th worst for people with no qualifications, and out of the 59 in Scotland, it is 4th from the bottom. That is to say, more than a quarter (25.5%) of people in Glasgow North East have no qualifications at all.
(Christopher Mackie, “Millions spent but location still key to earning degree”, The Scotsman, 19-10-09 at pages 14-15)

We want less politically correct teaching methods, and better discipline in schools. We will concentrate on the “3Rs”, and we will not just “throw money” at the matter. Smaller class sizes are helpful but useless without the proper teaching methods.

We want an end to the politically-correct, multi-racial brainwashing of our children. We want to remove all such harmful propaganda from our schools. We will promote British and Scottish history and heritage first.

While we acknowledge a link between economic deprivation and poor educational attainment, there are other reasons for poor educational attainment! Family breakdown, unemployment, addiction, and debt are other drivers and must all be addressed as part of an overall package to fight poverty and raise educational achievement.

ENDING MASS IMMIGRATION
We say, “No to mass immigration and bogus asylum seeking. Yes to repatriation of bogus asylum seekers and illegal immigrants.”

Most so-called asylum seekers are bogus. For example, of the 19,400 “asylum seekers” who had decisions made in 2008 by the Home Office, 70% were refused refugee status or any other kind of leave.
See: Home Office Statistical Bulletin, “Control of Immigration Statistics, United Kingdom 2008″, at page 21 and at Table 2.1b on page 58, published August 2009.
Download at: http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs09/hosb1409.pdf

Glasgow is currently home to the largest number of dispersed asylum seekers in the UK. The Sighthill estate in the constituency of Glasgow North East is home to the majority of dispersed asylum seekers. Cowlairs in the constituency of Glasgow North East is the area of Glasgow with the highest percentage of resident asylum seekers.
See: http://www.icar.org.uk/9983/glasgow/current-situation.html

We are unique in campaigning for these policies. All the other major parties, and especially the SNP and the Labour Party want to promote mass immigration and bogus asylum seeking into Scotland, and into Glasgow in particular. They want to overcrowd our city and bring down the wages of Glaswegians. Only the BNP stands against this irresponsible and immoral policy.

REFERENDUM ON THE DEATH PENALTY
We will offer a Referendum on the Death Penalty! We are the only people committed to giving the people a choice on this matter.

We want serious jail sentences for serious crimes. If you commit the crime – you must do the time.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS: BRING THEM HOME
We support our troops and we say, “Bring the troops home and put them on our border!”

We ask, why are we in Afghanistan, “protecting Britain from the Taliban”, when it would be more effective to stop them coming into Britain in the first place!

We also want to replace the politically partisan Donald Dewar statue at the top of Buchanan Street in the centre of Glasgow, with a non-political memorial to the soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Remember that the by-election is on Thursday 12 November 2009. Charlie needs your help. If you can be with him on the streets, please call him on 07827 811008. If you cannot campaign physically, please donate to us financially by writing a cheque payable to “BNP-Scotland” or “British Heritage” and sending to PO Box 11815, Turriff, AB53 8WB. We really need your help. If you cannot do anything else at this time, then please donate to the Party!

BNP Scotland continues to campaign like never before!

October 29, 2009

Charlie Baillie - Springburn medical centreThe British National Party would turn back “asylum seekers” trying to enter this country if they have passed other safe countries on their way here.

This was said by BNP candidate in the Glasgow north east by-election, Charlie Baillie, in response to a question from a journalist while campaigning in the constituency.

Mr Baillie told the journalist that he would be campaigning on an anti-immigration platform, focusing on the arrival of asylum seekers.

Asked whether he would turn away a “torture victim from Zimbabwe,” Mr Baillie said “Yes. They have neighbouring countries they can go to.”

Meanwhile, BNP Scotland continues to campaign like never before in the seat. So far, some 25,000 leaflets and 4,000 Voice of Freedom newspapers have been delivered in the north east of Glasgow.
P1010154
The party’s Truth Truck is also being deployed in the campaign. Its first appearance was last Friday when it was out for a 16 hour stint. The drivers report that they were greeted with cheers everywhere they went.
P1010156
The Truth Truck was also out campaigning over the weekend, despite awful weather.

Here comes the bribe

October 24, 2009

bridesIt has been reported to our news team that women living in Glasgow are being offered cash by criminals trying to arrange bogus marriages.

One Glasgow MP says he is aware of several cases where young Polish women have been approached and offered cash to marry men from countries outside the EU.

Polish citizens can live and work in the UK since the country joined the EU in 2004, and many Poles have moved to Glasgow.
The criminals are said to be demanding up to £10,000 to set up the weddings, which allow non-EU nationals to remain in the UK. The sham weddings are a quick and easy way for the criminals involved to raise a huge sum of money.

Dozens of young Polish women have come forward and reported being approached by the criminals.

Once asylum seekers have been set up with a woman, the couples then go abroad to get married, away from the scrutiny of the British authorities.

The ‘husbands’ can then legally stay and work in the Britain.

Ian Davidson MP, who represents the Glasgow South West constituency, said: “I’ve been contacted by a number of Polish girls who live locally and say that they’re being offered up to £3000 to marry asylum seekers.

“The men, from Algeria, Afghanistan, Turkey and Pakistan, hope that by arranging a bogus marriage they will be able to claim the right to stay in the UK.”

He added: “This is a subject that has been concerning me for some time now and one which I fully intend to give increased attention to over the coming weeks and months.”

Which sounds rather like ” I wont be doing anything about it” to us!

The only party that would do something about it is the British National Party and on November 12th the good people of Glasgow North East will have the chance to put their cross next to our candidates name on the ballot sheet. VOTE BNP ON NOVEMBER 12TH.

Glasgow By-election news

October 19, 2009

IMG_1816Glasgow BNP took to the streets of Springburn on Saturday with an impressive 14 activists taking part. A number of these people had never been on the street before and it is to the credit of Charlie Baillie, our energetic and dynamic organiser and candidate, that these volunteers were encouraged to take part in what may prove to be an historic campaign; certainly one that will prove to be the highlight of the year in Scotland.

A stall was set up complete with BNP flag in the heart of Milton which is a large council ward within the constituency. Three teams were organised to leaflet houses in the area and one team remained to man the stall. The exceptional good weather was a godsend and morale amongst the activists was very high. This meant that the area was covered quickly and after some two hours we moved to Saracen Street in the Possil Park area. The stall was set up at a busy junction and while a number of activists remained at the stall another group went walkabout distributing leaflets and the VoF to members of the public. Charlie Baillie addressed the passers-by with the megaphone and this drew a great deal of attention to us.

Sunday was a busy day for the team as well. A number of activists leafleted in the constituency on a door to door basis. Hard graft but worth the effort.
