BNP Cllr Paul Golding in Granite City

February 18, 2010

Paul Golding Abdn
Paul Golding whipped up a frenzy on Tuesday night at the Aberdeen Branch Monthly meeting.
Local Activists and Members were left buzzing with enthusiasm after Paul gave an enthralling and motivating speech.

The evening kicked off with an branch update from Organiser, Barry Scott, who explained the progress that Aberdeen was making in terms Party Awareness, “this is a direct result of our increased weekly street Campaigning” he reported.
“and more and more Aberdonians are coming round to our way of thinking”.

After Paul’s passionate speech, the considerable sum of over £300 was raised in donations that will go towards the Branch’s General Election Campaign costs.
“Considering we had an admirable total of 32 attendees at the meeting, it was a fantastic top-up to our Branch funds”
Candidate, Susan Ross said.

At the interval, a superb buffet was served and allowed new potential members to chat with Paul Golding and Scottish Leader, Gary Raikes which resulted in two membership applications that will be processed after the ban has been lifted.
Members old and new had a chance to catch up and discuss what Aberdeen should do to spread the word of the BNP presence in the City.

The evening ended with a Question and Answer Session where activists quizzed Paul on his ‘Recipe for Success’ Campaigning techniques that led to his Election as Councillor in Swanley, Kent.
Paul emphasised the importance of Canvassing and face to face communication with Voters.
“The advice gained from Paul will be utilised to great effect in Aberdeen, Gordon and Banff & Buchan Districts where four Candidates in total will stand. We aim to Campaign vigorously to show the electorate that there is a party out there worthy of their vote”. Gary Raikes reported.

The BNP: A Point of Light

Nick Griffin speech - Glasgow 27Oct09

A very fair article in today’s Sunday Herald (1 November 2009)
http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/politics/the-respectable-face-of-the-bnp-1.929674

This illustrates the extent to which the British National Party in Scotland is growing and developing into a credible alternative, which stands a chance of having a candidate elected at the 2011 Scottish election, or perhaps more probably in 2015.

The Sunday Herald reporter was at our launch on Tuesday night and he writes:
“True to the BNP’s ’suits not boots’ rebranding, there are no skinheads, no fixed scowls at the press, and almost no tattoos on show. Most people are in their 30s and 40s, with women making up about a fifth of the crowd.”

The report quotes quite a bit from our Glasgow North East candidate, Charlie Baillie’s enjoyable and colourful speech, including his paraphrasing of the Randy Travis song, “Point of Light”.

As the article says: “Mr Baillie detects a ‘darkness’ threatening Britain. ‘It’s a darkness everyone must face. That darkness covers everything in sight. It needs a single point of light. The BNP is that single point of light. We alone stand for the survival of this nation and will secure a future for British children,’ he says.”

Charlie and his team need all the help they can get for the by-election on Thursday 12 November 2009. If you can help Charlie and his team to provide the Point of Light for the electorate in Glasgow North East, then please give him a call on 07827 811008.

Now is the time to come forward – and if you cannot campaign physically, please donate to us financially by sending a cheque payable to “BNP-Scotland” or “British Heritage” and sending to PO Box 11815, Turriff, AB53 8WB.

There is a point, when you cannot walk away.
When you have to stand up straight and tall,
and mean the words you say.
There is a point you must decide,
just to do it ’cause it’s right.
That’s when you become a point of light!

There is a darkness, that everyone must face.
It wants to take what’s good and fair
and lay it all to waste.
And that darkness covers everything in sight.
Until it meets a single point of light!

Point of Light, Randy Travis, 1991

Independence by any means

September 24, 2009

44With hundreds more Scottish people waking up to face life on the dole every day you would think Alex Salmond had more pressing matters to attend to than his dream of breaking up the Union.
After trying to rig any vote on ‘independence’ he has suggested that children just out of school should have a vote in it, the fact that these children would be the most likely to be swayed by an internet led media campaign appealing to their natural love of their country could not of passed him!
Now he says he is ready to hold a multi-option vote. Instead of a straight yes or no vote, which would be a resounding no as all recent polls suggest, there would be a third question asking voters if they supported more devolved powers to Holyrood.
Of course any such multi-option ballot would split the electorate three ways.
And, under Salmond’s preferred single transferable vote option whereby voters can list their second preference on the ballot a minority vote for independence could win.
After showing to be wanting on the international stage the SNP have retreated abandoning manifesto promises along the way back to the one issue that they exist for, breaking up the union by any means they can.
At least in the coming Glasgow North east by-election the voters have the choice of voting for a true nationalist party, the BNP, together we are stronger.
